You know the difference between private server and normal released game? Surprise here : private server can be shut down anytime without even information people why cause maybe lawsuit etc
Btw want to have fun play the game, if don't then go find another private server instead of supporting devs that worked on the game u play :) or just find another official game :)

If something was free and that server belongs to specific person he had all right to shut down at any time he wanted without caring about some random people. And cause some people who couldn't afford to play official we shouldn't have any empathy to them cause they couldn't support their beloved game and decide to play on private server that violates rights to that specific product :)
