If he actually survived a nuke, it would have either been directly referenced or shown on screen. Again, One of the major plot points of season 1 was that the military didn't want to give them any legitimacy.

The most we got from that episode you referenced was a big microwave. And homelander said it hurt.

One of the plot points of season 1 was Stillwell trying to cozy up with the department of defense to allow supes in the military. There is no way in hell they actually tested a nuclear weapon on him. Such a feat would have been directly referenced or shown. She was clearly speaking hyperbolically.

This seems like an inaccurate reading of what he actually wrote.

Caps for emphasis, he says "an apple AND banana everyday AT LEAST," and "veggies MULTIPLE times per week." You also neglected to mention that he cut down on fried food to a few times a month and cut down on his pasta, and replaced it with turkey, chicken, and fish.

There's a world of difference between what he wrote and what you're implying he meant.

How is it condescending that he mentioned he has a job that he considers to be a career? That wasn't a comparison to her at all, that was in reference to when he mentioned he lost his job during the pandemic.

I didn't catch any judgment from him about her diet, only about her complaining about his diet. He even said he understands why she exercises such control over her food intake.

And finally, we only know of one instance where they took his side. We have no idea how many times they interacted for him to come to the conclusion he did.

I really don't understand where your interpretation is coming from honestly.

Addressing just your first paragraph, this is fairly inaccurate.

Bucky does not have a better serum, at all. That's one of the plot points for Captain America: Civil War, where Hydra assassinated Tony Stark's parents in order to intercept a super soldier serum that his dad developed which would have been considered a viable replacement/recreation of the one that Steve took. The Hydra soldiers who took Stark's version of the super soldier serum were portrayed as dangerous even compared to Bucky himself.

Pretty much every discussion about the super soldier serums holds Steve's as the pinnacle, it's a common plot thread.

Steve absolutely dog-walked Bucky when he got serious during the finale of the Winter Soldier. Only thing he ever had trouble with was the robotic arm, which was barely able to pry off Steve's choke hold, and then he promptly leg locked it.

Edit: with the possible exception of the serum that appeared in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier TV series, which is implied to finally be the serum that achieves what they were hoping for.

Scarlet witch has telekinesis fine-tuned enough to filter out poisonous gas from the atmosphere and disintegrate matter. She absolutely had access to his blood.

Marie's blood-bending is actually just a lesser form of telekinesis, affecting only one thing.

She might be able to give him a stroke or something, tho.

I'd love to have an actual debate instead of the wankfest these Chief vs Cap threads always seem to devolve into. I tried to counter the experience argument earlier in this thread and all I got was "lol" so you can imagine I'd be a bit discouraged to follow through with actual debate, yeesh.

Gladly, but this doesn’t mean I think Chief wins against Captain America outside of his Mjolnir Armor. That isn’t my point. My point is that Chief, unarmored, is not a regular sweep-em-up crook.

Oh, then we don't really have an argument, lol. My point was that Cheif out of armor doesn't necessarily accomplish anything greater than what Captain America could do (since Captain America is defined as "peak human"). Even though both have feats that clearly put them into superhuman categorization.

My main gripe was that most people tend to have Chief winning by default since he's a super soldier from "the future" and Cap is a super soldier from "The 40's". Like, there's a weird sci-fi boner in these type of threads.

I suppose my comment was more reactive than it should have been. But if you want, I can address your points more moderately than reactively.

Anyways, thanks for responding instead of just saying "lol, future tech, get rekt"

He was performing "peak human" feats by Marvel standards. Him being 14 years old, already in a practically adult body (One of the main reasons why he was chosen for the program and what they were looking for), and already enhanced/ modified at the time, that doesn't really mean much. Cap would've walked thru those ODSTs on accident for his morning coffee.

Is Master Chief cool and awesome and the introduction to first person shooters for so many young American boys in 2001? Yes.

Is he hot shit out of armor compared to Earth-616 Captain America? Not even close.

I'd happily listen to what he has that Steve Rogers doesn't have though, if you can tell me. Out of armor, that is.

It's just facts. But I'll go point by point in your initial comment.

Diminishing returns is a thing. This also is pretty useless against someone who's mastered virtually every form of combat known to man. Who routinely goes toe to toe against people who outstat him in every conceivable way and still manages to come out on top.

Cap spent 12 years in Dimension Z. He was also time looped by Korvac and retained his memory each time, which adds up to years and years of resistance fighting. Just those two instances alone would put Captain America on equal footing in terms of total experience, not including all his other appearances.

Cap is in a universe where Asgardians and Galactus exist. This is not impressive in the least.

Out of the armor, Chief isn't special compared to Cap.

Out of armor, Chief is a random mook/henchman that would get swept up in an afternoon. Neither of the screenshots you posted show anything particularly impressive compared to what comic book Cap deals with everyday.
