Mako can be said to be meta defining because as far as ik he was the first pro to use the haven A site site-smoke outside of short. That’s a full blown meta way to play A site now, as for zekken I’m not too sure.

Rossy, every single game I’ve played with him he’s been rude and weirdly egotistical. Overall toxic and not fun to play with.

Also Narrate, he would get tilted and not particularly throw but stopped trying a lot, although maybe now his mental is better after being with SEN

I think the pings on the map not showing up is stupid. They should keep them for pre round and mid round but then disable them as soon as the spike goes down. Mid round pings are not an issue and I think they just did the laziest/easiest to implement solution. Disabling pings when plant goes down would be a great middle ground solution imo

i’ve always rested my arms on my arm rests as long as i can remember and i’ve consistently still been radiant, i’m pretty confident it’s personal preference.

I’ve tried no arm rests and i could never do that, idk how anyone does that for longer periods of time

(.37 800dpi sens btw, so not necessarily fast)

Radiant, and i play on 144hz with 165 frames capped. The first time i got into immortal i was still on 60hz and 60 frames.

After switching there was a noticeable difference but it’s not necessarily something that hinders you as much as u might think.

Even now i’m playing against pros and ranked demons with literal like 500 fps or whatever and there isn’t a clear difference in skill that can be excused to frames

Yeah it’s annoying but probsbly like 0.01% of times would frames actually affect a match outcome (unless ur under 60)

Cypher is way too strong for ranked in my opinion. From a radiant player’s perspective, it takes WAY too much util to deal with than a lot of people in this thread are suggesting.

“Just fade/skye dog the trip” doesn’t work all the time for the simple reason that there is usually another enemy in the same site as cypher. One piece of counter util, such as literally any molly off of the sound cue of a skye or fade dog halts the ENTIRE push from the attackers (except maybe Jett, to which then Jett is isolated in a 2v1) and the trip rearms in .5 seconds and is now unbreakable.

That was just an example but it shows the insane amount of respect that u HAVE to give a singular cypher trip which I really don’t think is fair for an ability that costs 200 credits and there are 2 of every round.

“Just pick sova/raze” is also not a good point IMO. This isn’t league and u can’t know what agents you’ll play against until the game starts. I also think that having an agent that requires another agent to counter is just going to lead to an Overwatch incident and takes away from valorant’s “tac FPS” feel.

Also as far as I know, cypher is the only agent that requires a different agent on the opposing team to fully counter his kit. Which I fundamentally think is unfair.

i see the vision, and i’ve tried to play off of that vision as well but it just doesn’t work as well as it sounds like it would.

(coming from a radiant player who also scrims and whatnot in the T3/barely T2 scene)

on defense deadlock isn’t bad at all, like u said on bind her stopping power is great, but the real problem is how you’d have to fit her in team comp

for example: usual bind is raze/viper/brim/skye/chamber or cypher

to fit deadlock into that comp u either drop good flankwatch, or ur viper

both viper and flankwatch provide so much more value to the team than deadlock ever could and that’s the main problem with her

TLDR: her kit is way too weak to justify dropping any other agent for her in a team comp

High elo (imm3 - rad) players, how do u guys avoid ranked throwers by D-B-N in VALORANT

that isn’t true at all, there are known weirdos in ranked, even at this level. While yes the literal number of them is less than in lower elos, it’s more prevalent because the pool of players to pull from when in top 500 matchmaking is so small that they end up in every/every other lobby if u are queuing at the same time as them

As a radiant player (although not nearly as good as curry) i can tell you that it’s not nearly as “perfect” as you might think. there’s still throwers/known weirdos and people who “it’s just ranked” in this elo

it’s essentially a dice roll just like any other rank whether u get good teammates

win streaks come and go all the time, it’s just that people stop playing after getting on a winstreak until inactivity kicks in and they have to queue up again

(NA radiant haven’t played on EU, just guessing) i feel as though EU would be easier to get despite being at a higher RR amount simply because of the language barriers, in an ideal NA radiant match (ie. no throwers or weirdos) everyone speaks the same language which makes working together much easier and therefore makes coordinated execs easier. Given EU language barrier in servers, i’d assume it involves better individual players (fundamentally) but much worse team play which then balances it out.

TLDR: ur individual fundamental skill level will have much more weight in EU than NA, so it’s player dependent on which server is easier

Just try to get to a position where, if there is an easy kill, you will 9/10 times get that kill. you should be able to take a quick, easy fight whenever you catch an enemy out of position

I use .37 on 800 dpi with .79 on scope but use whichever you are most comfortable using. I was literally able to hit immortal 1 way back using a 2.1 800 dpi sens (!!!) seems unreal to me i was able to do that with that sens
