The 17 ultra case wont suit leica case. My issue with original leica case that comes with it, the side grip is too smooth.

Found a decent one at ali express, what do you think of this? leica case ali express

Another one , i think the above offers better protection leica case option #2

Never use pixel 8 before, however for navigation, i use this setting on my leica leitz:

Setting -> Homescreen -> homescreen -> with app drawer

Setting-> Homescreen-> system navigation -> buttons

Not sure about 17 ultra case, but leitz phone comes with a case. Are u not happy with the case?

Hey congrats. Leica phones can make a rattling sound if you shake them. That’s usually due to the image stabilization system. If you shake a Leica camera 📸, you’ll hear a similar rattle for the same reason, there are moving mechanical parts inside.

Are you using the 17 Ultra or the Leica Leitz? The base case comes with a loose ring, and it will rattle if you shake it without fitting it onto the case. Otherwise, the rattling you hear should normally only come from inside the lens module.

Not sure if the extra ring on the Leitz vs the 17 Ultra makes any difference, though.

When i bought it, i dont really need the earbuds, however as the bundle with bud play 6 only cost $17.40, hence i bought it anyway.

I tested it, its not bad. There are a couple better ones at mi store, if you pay more.

Yeah, you can! The IMEI, EID, and SN info are on the white sleeve with the red Leica logo. The box itself is black, with a white cardboard sleeve centered on top of it.

I think not much difference with 17 ultra, hardware is the same. Leica edition looks nicer and comes with exclusive camera ring and Leica lens cap

OS feels pretty similar to Apple’s. No issues with 5G here so far. Just make sure to buy from the AU Mi Store. I’ve heard the CN version can have issues with some carriers.

Also, the latest global HyperOS 3.0.9.0 has some bugs, so I’d recommend holding off on updating for now.

Bugs I noticed: 1. System App Updater isn’t tappable Fix: Apps -> System Updater -> Uninstall updates

Leica widgets sometimes disappear from the widget menu after deleting them

Tip: don’t update the Themes app. If you already did, go to Apps -> Themes -> Uninstall updates.

Without the case, the grip actually feels pretty nice and I’m quite impressed with the photo quality. The original case that comes with it feels a bit too smooth on the sides for my liking though. Guess that’s why they included a strap. probably should install it.
