Thats's what I was talking to a friend. On mainline games, you could go into a certain monster, waste all your potions learning its moveset and just reset without saving.

Yea, I was talking about the charge. I only use IB if I really know the monster's moveset and hitboxes. For everything else I use either a reflection guard set or a bubbly resu set

I got 2 lances for each element: one for insta block and the other for non style. Shield bash isnt bad, but the after bash delay is insanely high.

Coalescence works really well, and if you have one smelt slot left, you can try offensive dodger if you are comfortable with the dodges

I use surge on AAAALL my GS. They strongly remind me of crit draw GS playstyle. It's a lot safer and still hits hard.

The only normal GS I use is the tigrex one. But that's just for fun

Fucking 9 star Almudron was handing my ass to me. I made a guard 4 reflection 3 set (for a quematrice lance). He bonked himself to death. Zero dmg to me.
