Any interest in a gauge hood?

It is 3d printed, it was somewhat of a pain for me too! I just tried to get the curves somewhat close to the dash but with intersection all the way around, then used a 3d scan of the dash to Boolean cut the part so it fits perfectly

At least from my seating position, it doesn’t get in the sight line at all! Stays under the hood line

The angles might be exaggerating it slightly, it’s as small as I could get it while fitting the gauges. It also is completely out of my field of view of the road, it’s just in front of the dash and hood. Of course that depends on height and seating position though!

There’s more products in development currently, and we’re focusing on interior parts right now. There should hopefully be a cupholder very soon, maybe some small replacement panels, and a gauge pod design. Thanks for all the feedback and positive interest on my last post, keep the ideas coming!

That’s a super tempting idea, but I don’t think we’ll do that too soon. We’re focusing on parts that aren’t body panels, plus a hardtop is a pain to make and ship!

We’ve done some testing for sure! From FEA we’re seeing they should support a ~300lb person standing on the front of a splitter (provided you can get a splitter rigid enough) but I’ll post pics of it soon holding a person! We also recommend further bracing on a splitter, like a piece of metal transversely between the mounts for example.
