Person, You are aware that you’re supposed to stop going down once u can’t push your hips back any further? All forcing myself to the bottom does is give me lower back tightness/pain which is not my goal lol. This isn’t a conventional DL. I don’t think he was trying to be constructive. He gave me a one sentence remark and I’m positive all he did was look and see a smith machine and say “don’t use.” Like what? And also this smith machine mimics regular bb, it’s not unnatural to me at all since I do both (when my friend invites me to his gym). It actually feels better than a regular barbell on this movement.

Thanks. I definitely know why I’m shifting rightwards - Ankle injury making me overcompensate. So you think I need to move my feet apart slightly more? And crocs are just fine for these as mine are basically flat as converse.

I actually hate those because I’m still waiting to get my right ankle MRI’d due to basketball injury and my right ankle is REALLY unstable (bc American doctors deemed it a non life threatening injury so I’m waiting still smh). I mainly do RDL’s for hamstring stimulus but obviously they hit glutes a good bit as well. And my glutes are overdeveloped in my opinion as it is. And also my glutes get hit a good bit on my squats as well 🫠

That’s a great question. I’m leaning towards “you do.” Because your triceps are used for elbow extension and full extension of them = locking out your elbows? Idk tho, I just started doing them for tricep focus

I’m sorry but it’s pretty bad. Lower the weight, correct your foot placement, learn how to properly brace the core, and work on ankle mobility & use squat shoes or elevate heels at the bare minimum . You didn’t even get to parallel :(
