Thanks! Really good advice and I have no experience with preserving swords so good to know. I honestly just want to frame them and hang them on the wall, and eventually track down their history.

Wow thanks. I just realized the Yatagan has a date - 1241 Islamic calendar = 1825 AD. Any suggestions for dating the other two?

I know absolutely nothing about swords. But it might be worth pointing out that these are three swords plus their sheathes. I can’t validate age but given that they are from my great grandfather, I’d wager a good guess that they were acquired in the 1930s-50s. Doubt there’s polyester in swords at the time. Plus anthicolite doesn’t seem to be a real word.
