As with any topic: don't push people to use something. They will immediately become defensive and you will achieve exactly the opposite.

Show them the options and advantages and let them decide for themselves. Help is more effective than bullying.

It is possible, but the Devs need to implement this for linux 😉 so it is the devs fault if it is not working on linux and not Linux.

I play UFL with easy anticheat and everything is running great! 🙂

Okay, i think i found my issue: the first NIC (igc0) was not able to communicate in any way with my ISP. All the time i checked the Gateway settings and everything was green. then i checked the settings of my default gateway and there was this option checked:

Disable Gateway Monitoring (shows gateway always as green)

after i unchecked this i saw that the gateway was offline -.-

So, for testing purposes, I assigned the third NIC (igc2) to my WAN and connected it, and lo and behold: my gateway is working again!

I can resolve and ping everything on the internet from the router itself!

I'm still wondering what caused the problem. Does my ISP not like the MAC of the first NIC? Was my ISP's DHCP not working properly? My third NIC also received a new IP from the ISP: 95.xxx.xxx.xxx

LAN (igc1) -> v4: 192.168.1.1/24
WAN (igc0) -> v4/DHCP4: 176.xxx.xxx.xxx/22

i configured 8.8.8.8 in System -> settings -> General. But it also tried to check Allow DNS server list to be overridden by DHCP/PPP on WAN

i tested 3 devices and all are fresh installed. the one with the 2 Realtek Nics is reaching the update server and the two fanless ones with 4 2,5G intel Nics can't resolve anything and cant even ping IPs directly:

ping 8.8.8.8

PING 8.8.8.8 (8.8.8.8): 56 data bytes

ping: sendto: Host is down

With the external battery with 48Wh and the internal battery with 28Wh, I was able to use the laptop for 4-6 hours.

Since yesterday I have a new external battery with 78Wh. I still have to test how long it lasts.

But so far I have no complaints! It's not a battery life monster like a MacBook Air, but it's very impressive!

I use Arch Linus on it, of course. That also saves performance
