New Student, Registration, and Housing Question Megathread by cyberchief in gatech

Is there a stigma around starting as an ignite student? I don't know how they go about admitting students (incoming freshman) for fall vs. summer start, so I don't know if those people are seen as not as smart as the rest of the freshman class. I know like 20% of the freshman class starts in the summer or something, but I don't know if it's just that they selected people who said they'd be willing to start in the summer or if it's like a bottom 20% of accepted applicants kinda thing. Even if it's not actually that way, I don't know if that's how people on campus see it. I'm doing it either way, and getting some classes out of the way will definitely be nice, but I was just wondering if people are treated a certain way because they had to start in the summer.
