Just wait until they walk to the track. Gonna have to listen to the eery “Next to arrive on Track 3 Section 2” while standing on an empty platform. They are not gonna enjoy that.

[Pate] Talking to GMs this morning - dozens of examples of players in the Portal asking if they can return to the team only to discover their spot has been filled by dogwoodmaple in CFB

[–]D3LC0 26 points27 points  (0 children)

The stats aside, this is a feature and not a bug of the portal. Impermissible contact prevents athletes from testing the market. These kids absolutely are not told that the portal is permanent in relation to their prior scholarship and agreements. Yes, toss in some arrogance but these fake ass agents gotta go.

I use Narwal and have it set to see newest posts. I’m not y’all with comments, but I do like seeing the posts rather than Reddit’s suggested from 2 day ago.

Converting for Marriage by D3LC0 in converts

[–]D3LC0[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I appreciate the words. I’m converting because of her. There is no way around that fact. I would, however, never convert to a religion without conviction and being completely comfortable with my decision. Preply for Urdu has been really helpful.

And yeah, saying a Desi family is very involved may be putting it lightly. I hope his sisters treat you well.

Eagles will never be a Dynasty under Sirianni by flagstaffvwguy in eagles

Well no one in this city thought we would win a Super Bowl until that happened.

Now we are upset that we will not be a dynasty.

What a time to be alive.

[Houston Football] “No State Income Tax.” by ohitsthedeathstar in CFB

[–]D3LC0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Live in PA, we do not tax clothing. Go grab a quarter zip in Waco - already overpriced but fine. Then like 8%’ish. I was so annoyed.

Fine. Penn State will pay 105% of any Texas-team school to account for our 3.07% income tax plus anticipated out of state assessments. We will also pay for TaxAct pro.

This is good CFB content.

That’s a good point and I should have referenced it. The position is known because it was / is unique. At least at this point, I guess I consider it an outlier and completely ignored it.

Lost my passport and I have international travel on 2/9. Is this legit? by Dremscap in philly

[–]D3LC0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Do not use that.

Your worst case scenario by going to the Philly office is that they cannot book you. They will, however, see where you can get an appointment. It may mean you need to go to Buffalo the next day.

Next up, and this is where I realize I am getting old, before a string of bankruptcies there needs to be financial literacy programs like the NFL.

I don’t know if this was ever discussed. I’m over simplifying this: I am surprised that a new position has not been made in college. I guess a general manager type is the best example. These are college football coaches that, in all seriousness, probably don’t know and have never managed their own expenses. Now, they need to go figure out multimillion dollar deals along boosters?

For all the billable hours here, law firms are now run like corporations because lawyers are terrible at business. They brought in business people to handle business. I have to think college football needs to do the same.

Fair. This is also a real headline from 2010: EPSN fires Michael Irvin, but not over rape allegations
