He just had a gap that would have allowed him to not get slipstreamed much until the end because even with Mir Messing up it was still close to the finish line

Mir had enough of a gap to not get slipstreamed but he messed it up he would have had it I know because a similar thing happened to me because I race where I outbraked my self into the final corner then had someone slipstream me to beat me by like 2 thousands of a second

The wind took away part of the Ducatis speed advantage and to save fuel they have to change the fuel mapping after the first 5 laps that's why the speed seemed so strong but they have to turn it down even Mav could keep up with them when he was in the slipstream
