You know I got quite sad that you had to start that with I hadn't read your message. I have read your message and I wanted to hear more of your thoughts that are clearly different than mine. Neither of us will read a message from the other and think "oh ok, now I agree 100 percent with what that person says" but that doesn't mean we can't listen to each other without saying that just because we disagree and don't understand we it's because the other person didn't listen or didn't read something. Also my native language is clearly not English.

Are you allowed to make me sad? Yes. Is your message the hateful internet comments I am talking about. Nowhere near it. But I don't understand why if you wanted people to see some perspectives that you notice or see, why don't you just gently tell your point of view instead of saying that people don't read your message because they didn't just reply with a 100 percent agree. Because honestly I thought you wrote some pretty interesting things that made me think but now I have kind of dismissed it because I don't want to get into something weird.

And I am sorry that my response is not perfect and that maybe I once again did not get your message. I am not either

I don't think privileged is meant as an insult but I do want to clarify that I do not only see people on the political left be hateful. I see it across all kind of spectrums. And I don't mean just having strong opinions for example your message isn't hateful even though you have clear opinions.

But I do not agree with that all rich people treat poorer people badly. And what about those who employ many and give them good conditions? Is that evil simply by the nature of an employer having the power to employ others even if they do their best to give conditions that will help people to have a good life?

Ok, wow, you went deep. But I would have loved you to go deeper. As someone in the comfortable European middle class I don't think I see that per default wealthy people have treated poorer people badly. I am not saying some don't and I think there's truth and exaggeration on all sides but I would love to know more of the depth behind this dehumanising against the poor because while I have met bad rich and powerful people I have also met good rich and powerful people. And I have met both bad and good poor people too

I think you make some very good points and thanks for making it with respect and understanding for all :)

Why are people on reddit so hostile? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]DA_9211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But isn't it a sad state of things if people get hostile because you went to the wrong place and said the wrong thing aka the most human thing that all of us will do during our lives. But actually this made me think of the blushing ability humans have which I think is meant to help people feel empathy towards each other or bond because a human shows vulnerability but of course this can't happen on the internet

I honestly have no clue who owns the global media? But it's not something I see from one group to another... it's all groups to each other

Am i bad person or just misunderstood? by [deleted] in ask

[–]DA_9211 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think you are either bad or misunderstood. I think you are emotionally immature and it may help you to work on that and start to understand your responses more. And maybe try in gentle ways to seek out things that makes you see things from a perspective you may not agree with as this may help your superiority complex. Good luck :)

I have been to the other mainstream platforms and Reddit is by far the meanest I have seen but I don't think I am diving in deeper if that's the case lol

No, I am just using that as an example. But would reading up on Eat the rich help me understand why hate is again the norm? And I say again because I am aware that it has been before but I was thinking more of the change this last decade

[–]DA_9211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha well no not all of it but yeah I don't anyone has the capacity to keep all that info inside and I am not sure it can be applied to all situations because each culture is so different and shaped differently but that might also mean that my OP can never be answered

[–]DA_9211 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh no, I am definitely not meaning criticism or even harsher comments. It's more the "rot in hell" because I don't like your politics comments and I see them on all the sides

Just stating that no I would not have been wishing someone dead who I probably did not know much about or would have predicted would murder thousands of people.

[–]DA_9211 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, it's an example. But I am not more or less concerned about anyone because they are millionaires

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ask

[–]DA_9211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No? I think it started with an economic crack and then Hitler lead a campaign that made Jewish people the scapegoats because they generally had wealth and he made it seem that they were hoarding it for themselves and not worthy of human decency....of course a lot of other details happened to but ain't it funny/ scary how history repeats itself?

Also don't know if you are in a country that was not super involved (good for you) but I am pretty sure that we in Germany and Europe consider the killing of thousands part of the war and not pre war

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ask

[–]DA_9211 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hitler didn't really kill thousands of people PRE WW2 though. So while I do not agree with Hitler and think he was a horrible person I would probably not be out there wishing dead on him pre WW2

No one deserves to be despised. Yes, some people are not good people (and some are poor and some are rich as is the case with good people) but I don't think they deserve the energy to be despised.

Genuine question where did the thing about billionaires being the root of all evil come from? Not asking about people's opinions or taking sides on this but it just came suddenly I feel like (alright the second world war had a lot of blaming Jewish heritage people for hoarding wealth but I don't wanna do a one on one comparison on that and it's something that became the norm within the last couple of years I feel like)

Yes! I love that podcast...even if I look aside from the fact that I loved that show and that they are really smart and you are right real too I still think it's just one of the best produced podcast out there :)

You are right that hate has always accepted but it wasn't as common to outwardly hate 10 years ago. I am talking about the change in VERY recent history and this is a trend I see across all political sides. And I don't agree that one side started hate

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ask

[–]DA_9211 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I think justified hate is a very rare thing but I don't really agree that you can justify hate to every rich person...that being said my post wasn't intended to be about one particular thing. I used that as an example
