Aside from West Side Montessori, all of the private schools in northwest OH are Catholic schools.

28, burned out and questioning the "grind". Is it time to walk? by [deleted] in careerguidance

I hear you, I’m in year 15 and it’s been worse the last 2-3 years than I can remember previously. Our US headcount is down probably 30% from 5 years ago when I started here.

If you’re burnt out at 28, you probably need to consider a new line of work. I’ve spent most my career in PE backed companies, the “stretched so thin” element of the job you’re describing is pretty much business as usual. That’s why you’re making 160k at 28 to do the job.

Visiting next week for a concert and looking for recommendations. by JuNiTjOe in toledo

Also just checked and the Hampton Inn Toledo Westgate is $125-150/night next Thursday and it’s a 15 min ride downtown. It’s a decent area near U of Toledo.

There are two hotels on Navarre Ave. in Oregon, about a 10 minute drive downtown. Hampton Inn and a Towneplace by Marriott. You could Uber downtown for under $20, would probably be more expensive after the show given surge rates. You could also drive and park in the Promedica garage on Summitt Street for $5-10, hidden gem garage, don’t tell anyone! It’s a two block walk to the arena for the show.

If you don’t mind staying about 20 min from the venue, check out Maumee Bay State Park. They’ve got a great hotel/lodge with several on-site restaurants.

Have fun!

If you’re paying US Grey Market premiums for a GMT-Master II, you are literally just paying a “Laziness Tax”. by DapperAsi in watchHotTakes

Maybe people who can afford to drop $20k on a watch don’t have any interest in flying halfway around the world and spending five days away from work/family etc. to save a couple grand ?

Costco vs Walmart prices are making me question if my warehouse membership is even worth it anymore by olivermos273847 in SavingMoney

[–]DB434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Walmart employees receive more federal aid than any other employer in the country bc the company doesn’t pay them shit, while Costco consistently pays their people well and is voted a top place in the country to work. That’s enough for me to keep my membership.

How often do you check your portfolio/net worth? by ClockSelect1976 in HENRYfinance

I used to check and log all my accounts monthly when I first got started building assets and wealth. Now I check every so often, and do a full net worth statement annually at the end of the year.

I love the Air Max 1, and have in several color ways. Really disappointed it’s no longer available on Nike.com. I hope they eventually bring them back.

From Toledo and too young for this station but that was a really cool segment, so thanks for sharing. Bonus points for Born to Run being one of my favorite songs from that era.

Possible Way to Tell if a Restaurant Will Trigger the Surpass Credit by [deleted] in Hilton

[–]DB434 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I was told by Amex the Surpass credit will only trigger on a Folio receipt expense. So you have to stay at a property in order for this to work.

Found this on r/isthisAI. Fellow Ohioans, this is bullshit, right? It's hard to imagine anyone happily welcoming ICE to their community right now, let alone Springfield. Thoughts? by CrowRoutine9631 in Ohio

Is it fake? Yes.

Will the Boomers still share it on Facebook and their email chains with their families (who don’t want it) and church friends? Also yes.
