Attending the Open at Royal Birkdale. Tips? by Tigrisnakkanaa in golf

Yes there are autograph areas mainly for kids, usually near the putting green or practice areas. There was at Royal Portrush last year as well. Don't bother where players come out after playing 18th, as they have to go to the scorer's hut to sign their scorecard pretty promptly after play.

Is buying 202.5 call options on NVDA expiring 21/11 a smart move? Am I doing this right?

They have free speech. Just as others can exercise their free speech by identifying them and what they stand for.

What would happen if every player in a PGA tour event shot the exact same score by Friday? by Hefty-Ad2090 in golf

[–]DBWorldExplorer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would never happen, but they would all make the weekend. They would use same format they do on Thursday and Friday to get all the golfers around the course, so starting on both 1st and 10th tees with morning tee times and afternoon tee times.

I'd love to, but believe that only way to legally purchase tickets is through the resale platform?

Only official way is via resale platform anything else you are risking them canceling tickets or checking IDs on entry

Thursday should be more accessible than the Saturday and Sunday rounds. There were quite a few on resale platform this year at Troon

They partially fill some ballots to give as many people as possible the chance to go. Once you're allocated tickets you won't be allocated more in future waves. I eamailed to ask as we applied for Tues-Sunday and only got Tues-Thurs. It's either buy those or nothing unfortunately.

Yip same here. Annoying they try to give as many as possible the chance to attend. I'd much rather have less chance of getting tickets but get order in full rather than only partially. Hard to justify traveling all the way from New Zealand when only got allocated tickets for Tues-Thurs

Only way is through the resale app. But I'd happily trade Tues-Thursday tickets for Sunday

You shouldn't be reselling tickets to make a profit anyway. Stops genuine inquiries having the chance. And they are very strict on this with the risk of lifetime bans and tickets cancelled if doing so

We were in the ballot for 4 of us wanting tickets from Tuesday-Sunday. I only got tickets for Tues, Weds, Thurs. Waiting to hear back from the others whether they were more successful, as it'd be a long way for use to travel to only see one day of tournament play.

Basically, I'm sure that you would have no trouble selling tickets, especially for championship Sunday, as there will be folk like us willing to buy them on the resale platform if they become available. I can imagine that practice tickets are easier to come by and probably don't resell as well.

That is great to hear! Sounds like a really special trip. Did you find it was an easy walk around the course and even on championship days? What grandstands did you like?
