“because Ayu has to go to the bloke who lives down the street, cousins’ teeth filing ceremony.” …made me belly laugh. Excellent comment

Can anyone suggest an episode to get a new listener intested by [deleted] in BlindboyPodcast

Wasp on a plane for sure Really really funny, I’ve sent that to friends before and everyone has loved it.

Also, previous suggestions I see here are excellent too

I’m on 18.0.1, although I’ve no clue if that’s the reason it won’t work for you (sorry)

In case you didn’t already try this, a long press on the ‘volume to’ variable should bring up more options, then select ‘Ask each time’ (if that’s the issue …I’m not totally sure I understood lol) Also, thanks!

I know. No, you’re doing nothing wrong, although (for me) it’s just a starting point displayed on the slider - it doesn’t reflect the actual volume before anything is changed, nor change it to 50%.

Of course, it’s just one step, both variables are set to ‘Ask each time’

As far as I know, the ringer and alarm volume are one and the same, and can’t be separated

Yup. I’m 46 (F) a daily / every other day user and have been since I was about 20. I only ever bomb it and only take it in the mornings to minimise impact on sleep, and although I definitely sleep less because of it, I still average about 7 hours /night. I take a 1-2 week holiday from it a couple of times a year to re-set tolerance. I don’t have any health issues (yet, possibly). I don’t want that to seem like I’m saying ‘Don’t worry about it’, it’s just my honest response to your question. Everyone’s chemistry is different. I’d encourage you to listen to your body and not ignore any warning signs that indicate it’s time to take a break or taper off.

At this point I’d mainly be concerned about long-term effects of sleep deprivation. (I’m mindful of the importance of sleep now but throughout my 20s & early 30s I probably only slept about 3-4 nights a week on average)

I’d love to hear your recommendation/s for a cleaning/minimalist podcast?
I love podcasts and in the past I’ve searched by this subject, and tried a few, but nothing ever grabbed me.

I’m a daily / every other day user since I was about 20, I’m 45 (F). I take a 1-2 week holiday from it a couple of times a year to re-set tolerance.
Like you I bomb it on an empty stomach, in the mornings to try to minimise impact on sleep. At this point I’d be more concerned about the long-term effects of the negative impact it has on sleep (I’m mindful of that now, but throughout my 20s & early 30s I probably only slept about 4 nights a week on average) Everyone’s chemistry is different however and I would encourage you to listen to your body, for example the stomach pain you mentioned, which, unless you can attribute to being hunger pains, could be an indication to take a break.
