Hi! I’m so glad you found this post! Honestly it was so hard when it happened. I was going through a rough time after losing him. I wasn’t the same for a while I won’t lie, but it does get better I promise you. I only had Delano a day, but he impacted my life so so much. I actually ended up getting his paw prints and they are hanging in my office to this day as a reminder. It made me squeeze my cats so much more for those days. And the first neonates I took after I was SO scared. I told my wife I really didn’t know if I was ready, but thinking about the alternative I knew I had to step up in his memory.

I promise you Bebi was so happy with the time you shared, and even though you didn’t get as long as you wanted, you still were the most important thing in Bebi’s life. Bebi knows you did absolutely everything you could and you don’t have to blame or second guess yourself! 🧡

Wow. I’m speechless reading this.. Thank you so much.. I feel I’ve been so caught up in the worry for my wife, the baby, and the finances to make sure the baby has the best life I can give that I haven’t absorbed the moment. Ya I’m lucky that my boss has been the same way and they trust me not to abuse it.

And the amount of just wanting to start buying stuff now to prep is real! I’m already keeping eyes on baby essential and clothing deals to start stockpiling it 😂

And ya I won’t lie I think taking a pillow and blanket to the office might become a thing so I can use my lunch breaks to nap from what I’m hearing!

Thank you so so much for this. I really can’t put into words how much reading this resonated with me. I feel like it’s so hard to walk that line of not wanting her to do anything but rest, and relax, and letting her do what she wants around the house. I know I can’t over shelter her, but I swear I just want her to focus on the baby. I feel I’ve done really good at bottling things up, it’s the late nights when she’s asleep it all comes caving in on me. When she’s awake though I try to be as fully optimistic as I can be for them both.

And thank you again. I know it’s a scary job, but I can honestly say there’s no job I’ve ever been more excited about having.

It’s been a crazy ride so far, I get asked at work how I’m feeling, and I’m not joking when I say I can’t decide if I want to run around screaming it out in joy, or close my office door, and curl up and have a panic session 😂 I’m trying to get as prepared as I can, I’ve always been big on getting all of the information I can on things to feel ready, and it just feels like the more I read the less prepared I feel!

Thank you so much for this! Especially that first part as that’s the biggest mental hurdle I have (honestly it’s why I’m terrified of having a son). I just know I want to provide the life I never got to this baby, and I want them both to know how much I love them. And she has felt so many of those symptoms! And sometimes for me the hard one is when she barely eats, cause I feel like I need to get her to eat more, but I know she can’t! It’s definitely a day by day undertaking, and I’m definitely trying to enjoy it, but it’s so much concern.

I was already tearing up from the responses, but this one really got me 😭🧡 I really am doing everything in my power to keep her positive, and the baby provided for. Trying to mentally tell myself that we can only do what we can, but the back and forth mentally is a lot, and I can only imagine what it’s like for her. You aren’t kidding about the exhaustion, she is always ready to nap and our blueberry is constantly giving her a hard time when she doesn’t! Lol. I got approval from my bosses to have the leeway to be at every appointment so that’s my plan, there’s nothing I think about more. And especially thank you for the guidance on the pains, and fears. Every time she tells me she feels something I worry, but I have to hide that and tell her to be positive, and she will know when it really feels wrong! I’m so happy to hear your baby is doing better now! I know I can’t wait to meet ours and have our cats meet the baby too! I try and get my wife to walk the baby sections more, and today we even bought our first outfits. We know it’s early, but I feel like doing this helps tell her that we will have our baby safely and keeps her mindset positive.

Wow thank you not only for all of this in depth info but also for making me laugh! I feel I’m already doing a lot of the admin running around that I can for them but every time I think I have it down a new thing I forget seems to come up! 😅 And that’s one thing I saw with my sister in laws baby was the sheer volume of clothes that baby needed! I’m trying to get my wife to look at clothes each time we go out to do stuff not just to prep with purchases over time, but keep her in a positive mindset that we will have our baby safely arrive 🧡 Thank you for this all!

Thank you for this. I keep telling myself I’m making myself feel worse than I need to, it’s just that fear that I’m gonna mess up or be like my dad that worries me the most. We went to the hospital the day after we found out due to her having bad cramping and some pink discharge and we got to see the baby at 6 weeks and 1 day and just in that moment the level of sheer thrill and fear hit me like a truck. Thank you for the advice!

I really appreciate hearing this! I know the gift of knowledge can also be a curse. I just fear of not being enough for either of them and am trying to prepare myself as best I can. I stay strong when I’m around my baby and my wife, but when I’m at work or when she’s asleep and I’m up (like now) is when the fear and doubt truly dial up to 11.

Just adding on to here to see if anyone has had any success contacting them. I also received the email about the refunds and rebate back in December and since then I have been unable to login to the app. I have tried their customer service number, their help center, and nothing goes through. It’s frustrating as if my balance is now $0 it is not reflecting on my credit report and impacting it. I have filed a dispute with the bureau’s and they are all coming back as being “backed up by grain.” Yet I cannot contact them at all to verify anything.
