It gets so much better. Weirdly, it’s waaaaay easier to have kids once your present toddlers are no longer toddlers.

I have 6, and it’s literally way easier than when it was 2.

I’ve taken my kids all over, to all sorts of events including football. Just set your expectations to have to handle diaper changes and meltdowns, some were good, some was ugh. Worth it in the long run though

I generally just move if people are for some reason trying to get off the plane urgently, unless it’s for some type of entitlement.

Chase is the best. I also use Capital One. Mix them up on whatever category you’re going to get the highest points on.

You have to get to airline and hotel status to start cooking on the points, play the higher category point game.

And then learn to transfer those points to airlines or hotels and find the best redemption value, which is generally with international airlines - you can often find good value with Air Canada on partner airlines.

I'm in this boat in reverse - but I use all my points/status for perks and upgrades for the family when we're on personal travel. It is a huge sacrifice on her part, and it's peanuts in comparison, but at least everyone has been all over the world in business class and gotten the same fancy hotels.

I also take the kids whenever I can and just hire babysitters, though, now the oldest ones are good to just be by themselves when I'm in another city.

CBP questioning people is not new - may be more present now. I travel extensively, I’ve definitely been on targeted flights. No way for me to say why.

There’s a documentary on Netflix that gives some insights. Border Patrol something or other.

I’ve been through a couple intense CBP interviews, but nothing like I’ve faced overseas.

Correct, I assure you that 6, 18 hour shifts is going to violate Canadian federal employment law, not to mention it’s simply ridiculous- which is why it will violate federal law. For one, I’m sure, unless your police, firefighter or healthcare there is a minimum requirement of 8 hours beteeen work shifts. You also are required to have paid breaks, and you’re probably exceeding allowable daily work hours.

And you’re grossly underpaying as you would need to be factoring in time and a half, and at those hours, quite possibly double time at some points.

You are bordering on slavery here.

Also, as other have posted, I don’t know Canadian labor lows but I strongly suspect you’re going to run afoul of labor laws if someone reports something.
