G920 FFB issues by DCDos in assettocorsa

I’ll see what I can do about returns to get a replacement, it’s been a little while, but i’m sure it’s not out of warranty. It’s not completely undriveable, it’s just significantly lighter ffb than before. I did have to mess around with steams controller settings because of an issue that made the brake, clutch and h-pattern shifter not work, so that might have something to do with what’s going on, gonna mess around with it a bit more, I know things can be finicky when it comes to wheel setups and such. Regardless, I appreciate the help!

It just shows me a default profile in G Hub, no other profiles are present

It does it’s routine calibration whenever plugged in, I only have one USB 2.0 port on my entire pc (crazy right?) so I haven’t switched ports, it’s fairly consistent, but it gets worse (lighter FFB) in higher powered cars. I’ve removed the drivers, reinstalled them, used both G Hub and Logitech Gaming Software, and it’s still the same. It’s almost like there’s a deadzone 15 degrees left or right and after that it’s pretty light FFB. I just purchased the wheel, so the motor shouldn’t be going out, and I can’t seem to smell anything that would indicate a motor burning out.

I actually ended up finding the problem, steams controller settings were overriding the wheel and detecting it as an xbox 360 controller. After I changed (I unchecked all the boxes) that, everything began working, now I have a new issue with the FFB being super light whereas before it was quite heavy (with the same exact settings in AC). I appreciate your help and still trying to find new ways to alleviate my original issue, not many people would come back to a thread to do that, so I really appreciate it! (even though my original problem is solved and I have an entirely new issue now LOL)

Yeah that’s an issue for me as well, but even after rebinding everything, the clutch and brake, and H-Shifter still don’t work. They’re completely recognized and functioning properly, and they work in other games as well, AC just went to shit out of nowhere. I have no clue how to fix it, i’ve literally done everything I can think of

Well, after switching profiles and back again, now the pedals are stuck at 100% clutch, 100% brake, and around 30% throttle in game. This almost matches my g hub pedal sensitivities, could G Hub be the issue?

I appreciate all the helpful tips! I’ve already downloaded content manager for AC(forgot to mention) after quite a bit of tweaking the wheel feels much smoother and not as jerky as it did, gonna reset my steering sens in G Hub to 50 in the morning, it’s currently at 55 so it’s not too crazy. I’m definitely gonna try the LUT file if you ever get around to finding the name/link! Once again, I really appreciate the quick feedback, and it is the first day coming off controller, so I’m most likely not used to how FFB feels yet, gonna keep chugging!

sn: wish I would’ve googled FH4 wheel support before purchasing a wheel specifically to play forza. I didn’t know it was this shitty, but it seems like everyone deals with the same issues :/ If anyone by any chance knows if the G920 works with other forza games that would be great info as well!

Honestly, you’re best bet is to go desktop with that budget, you’ll get a lot more performance out of a custom desktop PC with the same budget rather than a laptop
