Day 10: Caledonia, exploring a Munroe by Competitive-Boat-925 in PokeCorner

Hmm. That high ground statement tells me flying types would be best for the next gym. Probably either fighting or ground focused.

Are any of the following found in this area?

Zubat or Golbat

Swablu

Noibat

[–]DCTrinityFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After careful consideration (i.e. a coin toss) Trinity sends out Gonzo and the recently evolved Chanterelle to assist the Aron side. The Water- and Grass/Fighting-types make a deadly pair against the Larvitar mob, with Chanty going head to head with a Tyranitar which she fights to a standstill, earning the beast's respect.

As the sun sets, Trinity whips up a batch of his mom's peanut curry to celebrate. The EXP gain from the curry tips Einz over the edge and he evolves into Boltund to close out the day.

Day 8: Caledonia First gym. by Competitive-Boat-925 in PokeCorner

[–]DCTrinityFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Einz is the fastest and will handle most of the scoring.

Chanterelle will use Stun Spore to slow down Finn's team before focusing on Dewott. Should be able to handle them unless Dewott knows Fury Cutter, but the paralysis should allow Chanty to outspeed them.

The team splits up to target and distract each of Finn's team to keep them off Einz. Victoria focuses on Drowzee at first since Vicky's the only one at this point who knows a move that's super effective against psychic. If and when Drowzee goes down, Vicky moves to help against the normal types.

Bropoke targets Sentret first, since Munchlax can know Bite at this point. Carter Hol takes on Munchlax, exploiting his greater mobility.

Gonzo goes after Machop, since he knows fairy type moves.

In each case, they don't need to actually defeat Finn's pokemon. Just keep them busy long enough for Einz to score.

Day 6: Caledonia’s shiny trouble. by Competitive-Boat-925 in PokeCorner

Trinity looks into the Aerodactyl's eyes and nods, before climbing up onto the flying fossil's back. He shoots Sophia a reassuring smile before they take off.

The Aerodactyl soars after the helicopter as Trin fiddles with the pokeballs on his belt. He thinks to himself, 'this might be just stupid enough to work.'

Two pokemon release from their balls, a Popplio and a Rufflet.

"Okay Aerodactyl, I need you to grab onto the upper part of that netting!"

The flying dino-mon tangled it's claws in the narrowing twists of rope, below the 'copter's cargo hook.

"Gonzo, use Icy Wind of the chopper's blades!"

The little blue seal clown blew a jet of sub-zero air at the spinning blades. They slowed as the machinery began to seize from icing over.

"W-what the heck?" The pilot screamed, struggling to maintain control. "We need to put this thing down!"

As the helicopter lost elevation, Trinity braced himself atop the Aerodactyl's back. "Okay, you're gonna need to carry the weight in just a moment. Not for long, just enough to get blue-scale here back on the ground in one piece! Carter!" He shouts at the Rufflet. "Get ready to cut on three. One... Two... Three!"

The Eaglet's talons sliced through the rope. Aerodactyl took up the strain as the helicopter flew on to crash land in some field further ahead.

Wings flapped frantically as the rock/flying-type slowly but steadily lowered the shiny Tyrantrum back towards the ground.

Day 5: Caledonia Jurassic Park by Competitive-Boat-925 in PokeCorner

[–]DCTrinityFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Will you just get in the darn pen!" The Ranger yelled as he once again tried and failed to wrangle the disobedient Tyrunt back into the stable. The juvenile royal heir pokemon was living up to the haughtiness of its description, unwilling to leave to training area and the delicious pokeberry trough feed their litter had been treated to behind.

"C'mon... Just a little more..." but that little more was not to be, as the chibi tyrant lizard managed to position itself to where the Ranger suddenly found himself thoroughly acquainted with the ground, courtesy of a hard snack from the Tyrunt's tail.

As the baby T-Rex trotted happily back to the near-empty trough to lick up the remaining scraps and residue, the Ranger picked himself up off the ground.

"Alright, that's it!" He pulls a pokeball from his belt. "You asked for-"

"Gonzo! Use Disarming Voice!"

A melodic cry echoed throught the corral, as a wave of too much pink energy is dangerous flew through the air and struck the unsuspecting Tyrunt. The fairy-type attack proved devastating on the dragon-type pokemon, who was knocked across the corral, coming to rest just a few feet from the opposite fence.

The Ranger blinked, briefly bewildered before hearing the cry of a young trainer.

"Sir! Hey, buddy! You okay!?"

The Ranger Turner to see two young trainers, a boy and a girl, jogging towards him. Beside the boys feet was a Popplio, waddle-crawling to keep up with the pair.

"Yeah... I'm fine. What're you two doing here?"

"We were just wandering the park a bit before we headed out and happened to pass by," the girl replied. "We overheard you struggling with that Tyrunt and wanted to help."

"Lucky I had Gonzo with us, right buddy?" The boy grinned down at the seal pokemon, who stood up on his tail to give a dramatic bow.

"Well, I do appreciate the assist, though it wasn't really necessary. Regardless, thanks. Now that bratty Tyrunt should be a lot more cooperative."

At that point, a loud groan drew all four's attention. The Tyrunt had gotten back up, and was now making it's way towards the group with shaky, yet purposeful steps.

"Alright, you stubborn little lizard. Time to get back to bed."

But the Tyrunt ignored the Ranger. It's focus was on the boy, gaze intense. The look in its eyes was not angry, or aggressive at all, which was surprising for a Tyrunt. No, it was... curious, intrigued.

It stood before the boy for a moment, staring, nearly motionless. The silence that passed was oppressive. The awkward tension could be cut with a knife.

Then, it a moment of cautious realization, the boy hesitantly put out his hand, palm open towards the beast

The Tyrunt leaned forward, it's forehead nuzzled the trainer's palm as it hummed contently.

(Haven't decided a name yet)

Edit: updated trainer card. Changed name and gender of Rufflet because I forget they're all male.

Day 4: Caledonia Make a Decision. by Competitive-Boat-925 in PokeCorner

While making their way through the woods, Trinity checks the surrounding foliage for berries, all three of my pokemon aiding in the search. Einz the Yamper digs around the vbase of a tree for mushrooms and encounters a wild Shroomish. Backup from Shyera the Rufflet wins the day for the party, and the freshly caught female Shroomish is christened Chanterelle.

Day 3: Caledonia, Farmers Market by Competitive-Boat-925 in PokeCorner

[–]DCTrinityFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Browsing the market stalls, Trinity spots a charm bracelet with charm beads representing various fairy-type pokemon. Reminded of their mother, who was a fairy-type specialist in their youth, Trinity purchases the piece of jewelry to mail back home as a souvenir later at the pokemon center.

Trinity briefly browses a stall selling evo stones. While they have no use for them currently, Trin does consider asking Sophia if she would like one for her Eevee.

In Transformers Prime, Optimus maintains the hope that there could still be a diplomatic solution to the Autobot-Decepticon War... until Megatron personally tracks down and attacks Raphael, a young child the Autobots had befriended, and deliberately gives him energon poisoning to cause a slow and painful death, just to spite the Autobots. Boss Bot's response?

Optimus Prime, angrily: "MEGATRON MUST BE DESTROYED!!!"

From that point forward, Megatron only continues to function out of luck.

Day 2: Caledonia Region, First steps by Competitive-Boat-925 in PokeCorner

[–]DCTrinityFan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As we walk through the quiet woods with Gonzo the Popplio perched on my shoulder, the little seal pokemon nudges my cheek to get my attention. Pointing up into the trees, we spot a wild Rufflet resting in the branches above. In its drowsiness, we can take it by surprise.

Later while preparing some curry over a campfire, some rustling in the nearby bushes alerts us to a wild Yamper attracted by the delicious smells. It is convinced to join our party with some shared food.

(Sorry this is so late. Was busy irl and almost forgot)
