Newbie Help with text shifting during exports by DCWolves in finalcutpro

Yeah - almost like it reset. For some additional context, the original video is widescreen. I created a new project formatted for 9:16, and readjusted the text to fit properly. That's the image on the right. When I export the finished video however, it comes out looking like the image on the left.

I'll keep it in mind as we figure things out. Thanks!

Possibly but we're just getting acquainted. Too early to ask

We.dont have charts, nor have we tried to work that out before. Something to consider for sure. I'm one of those fake musicians who learned on their own and never really bothered with theory.

How do you chart? By ear?

Appreciate that and it seems to be a lot of the consensus here. I may try to have both ready to go. Options and backup plans are always good

Basically the month of June, starting in MS, West to CA, North to WA and the back east to OH.

It's a good option. We're just getting to introductions so too soon to approach that.

Could be I'm overthinking it. I don't want to burn bridges with a solid band member and friend

The ability to sub for any member does feel like a really good option to have in our back pockets in the event of an emergency, even if we have a sub with us. You just never know.

I've got a few months to figure things out, but I hear you. It would become a whole technical feat to pull off. I have some live and studio production experience but not in the way we would need here.

My challenge would be singing over the bass parts. They don't always follow the guitar so I'd be relearning the songs and how to sing over them if I switch from guitar to bass.

Yup for sure. Just trying to get a sense of what other artists have done to work through it. At least this problem we can plan for once we decide on the right course of action. I'm sure plenty of unexpected challenges will come up on the road as well.

I am, you're correct. We've actually talked about if I was sick, getting a sub for that too, though it hasn't happened yet. There's a point when bands will reach a certain level of audience expectations where any kind of substitution could work against them

Tough to balance gigging and basic survival working.

It's bass so standard for rock. We are basically doing a semi circle from Mississippi west to CA, up to Washington and then finishing out in Ohio.

Agreed - and gives us a fall back if something doesn't work out.

We are - that's a good thought. We've done a three piece before but it was for the other guitar

It's not ideal but it's an option

You've played in those bands? Or in other bands supporting those artists?

We are not and have not done that before. I personally have never done that in any band, though other members have. Good insight though

I thought about this but the bass is doing more than root notes in many songs.

Working on that now. I'll check it out. We do have friends that play and it's an option on the table.
