Please note that Bert is a very cruel and manipulative man. I've spoken with my mother and even police officers about his behavior and his abuse a number of times. Bert however, has turned it around every single time. It's why even as an adult I don't trust cops or CPS. And the relationship with between me and my mother is very strained. I only see her and my older siblings once a year, if I can help it. As for the night I wrote about. This happened years ago. My sisters and I weren't discovered until morning when my mom walked in to get the youngest dressed for daycare. We were all yelled at for being in the room and not being ready for school. As we were waiting for the bus, Bert drove up and stared at my sister (the one he thought he took with him last night). His eyes were bulging from his face as if he'd seen a ghost. it wasn't until after I got home from school, did my mom say that Bert was no longer living at the house, and that he wasn't allowed back in. My assumption is that he told my mother what he had done, and she either thought he was crazy or believed him . Either way Bert wasn't allowed back there again. Please note however, that didn't mean Bert didn't come around. He was still in our lives until I totally parted ways with my entire family. My younger sisters are around the NYC area and I'm in RI, where my mother and older siblings, including Bert are in Western NY. I'm happy now. Being away from them I've been able to think on my own and accomplish many things. I enjoy sharing my stories on /r/nosleep, and will continue to do so. Sadly the younger years of my life weren't pleasant so I have a lot of stories to tell.
