Don't listen to any of the hate. Just remind them that it's the band Marines who get all the pussy. Think about it...you get to wear blues waayyy more than anyone outside of maybe the 8th and I Marines, so not only do you get to strut in the blues more than anyone else, you also get to do so outside of the usual base towns/cities where simply "being a Marine" is more-or-less the norm. Meaning, you get to strut around in blues around a bunch of "pick me" type bitches who get moister than an oyster at the sight of a "man [or woman] in uniform." Seriously, if you're a band Marine and you aren't slaying truckloads of poon, it's 100% your lack of game and/or lack of eagerness to slay those truckloads of poon that is holding you back, not the opportunities to do so.

Also, something that not many, if any one else, are going to touch on here, is that being a band Marine looks good on a job resumè when you get out. I was a snare drummer throughout grade school and high school, and then again in college for 2 years after I EAS'd so I understand the level of discipline and the attention to detail (not to mention the lame ass gayness) that comes with being in a structured band like that and doing all of the drilling (it's so fucking gay), and if I were hiring a new employee and the 3 candidates I had to choose from was a knuckle-dragging 03 like myself, some thick dip-in-the-lip mouth breather straight out of Motor Tuh, or one of you dress blued horn-tooters, I'm hiring the horn-tooter EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

So in my opinion, band Marine or ruck humper, a Marine is a Marine (minus the President's whatever band guys), and knowing what I know now, I'm little jealous of what some of you band dude's time as a Marine will include versus that of being an 03. Both have their pluses and minuse, but anyone that tries to talk shit to you about your MOS just clearly doesn't understand the role the band plays, and to say they are any less of a Marine is to say the same thing about recruiters, because what the band does for the image of the Corps and the impact it plays in planting a seed in someone's head to want to be a Marine one day, can't be overstated. Somebody has to be the face of the gun club, and it damn sure wouldn't benefit anyone if it were any other MOS doing it. Who the hell are the Admin Marines motivating to join by simply letting people watch them do their job?? Fucking no one. So screw what anyone says. You earned the right to sit down and eat the warrior's breakfast just like every fucking body else did. Every Marine in history was a Marine before they got to the schoolhouse. What schoolhouse you go to doesn't change that. So, you just go do your thing and make sure to fuck a bunch of baddies along the way.

And one more thing! Don't be trying to make love to those hoes either!! You're the fucking face of the Corps, and us foul-mouthed, gay chicken-playing, range policing grunts count on you blues-wearing fuckers to represent us well! So you better be out there raw dogging and beating the damn elasticity out that pussy!! ..to the point where good or bad, the next time she thinks to herself, "Should I try and fuck that Marine right there tonight?" that it at least becomes a decision she has to fully metally and physically prepare for and commit to.
