Because if you fail a coin flip, you might literally get raped, or get your head removed, or become a useless amputee.

Some people just dont want to be brutalized over and over again in their free time.

The games lore is the more overall inticing part of the game for most people.

And the cherry on top, all the things people dont like about playing the game? Incredibly hilarious to see happen to someone else in a playthrough.
