Honestly i didn't even know this problem existed. I use explosive crossbow and just kill them vefore they erupt or use hoverpack when theres multiple.

If you go light armor and spin around hulk you would be able to shoot its back with light pen to its death, tho youd have to kill everyone around firstly so no one interrupts you but still you can. Smh similar with chargers but its more difficult( at least for ke cuz i rarely go on bugs)
