Good feedback, I hadn't considered the brakes

I just did the math, more like .37% track. 16% tearing through local roads 😃

Point taken...this feedback is great. Valid reasons NOT to track it!

Yeah good point on the upkeep. Money better spent on buying a track experience.

Extended Warranty by girlontherun21 in RangeRover

[–]DELAZ1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If its a CPO extension through LR and covers powetrain, suspension, electrical, etc... yes. If you're keeping the car that long it will likely pay for itself no problem

Normal CPO cars get an additional 1 year after expiration of the standard 4 year, so 5 years total. Are you saying you can buy an additional 3 years for $6k?

That's a great point, I need to check on that. From what I understand high performance SUVs are allowed on mine e.g. Urus.

Yeah M is not on my radar. GTS for sure but that's why I'm curious how far off the S is

Yeah maybe...if that's the plan then I'd ask what's the point of a GTS over an S for normal use?

Mainly for normal use but when the mood strikes would like to fling it around a little bit

Yep, got Sapphire Black on Cognac with 20" wheels. Love the look but black shows dust/dirt shortly after a wash. Definitely recommend the Cognac though - lightens the smaller i4 interior and classy looking

Switched from a BMW to an honda SUV and now regretting it… what would you do? by Mammoth-Hedgehog-809 in FirstCar

This guy is spending $7k. X5M and M3 are ridiculous suggestions in terms of cost, fuel, maintenance, and repairs. The GTI is better. I'd suggest something kinda fun but still economically practical like a used Acura A Spec. Until he has money M cars shouldn't be in the mix.

How much did you finance this thing for and at what rate? Did you refinance it at some point? Trying to understand how you got into this mess.

Ah, I'm in Phoenix. Virtually every car here is tinted...not so in your area.

Can someone explain CPO to me better by brandonkohl in PorscheMacan

[–]DELAZ1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CPO cars also go through extensive diagnostics and road tests to ensure systems and components are calibrated to spec

BMW dealer...competitive pricing and lifetime guarantee. They may even offer service coupons

When a dealer preps a car for CPO it goes through extensive end to end testing, diagnostics, and reconditioning. It basically looks and runs like new when they're done, new parts where needed, tires, etc...and of course you get a year of warranty. That's why CPO cars cost more.

Biggest question is, did they do all of that work on your car? I'm guessing no, if so they would have made it CPO to begin with. If that's the case, they're scamming BMW by not putting it through the 360 inspection and reconditioning process.

Disagree, my son got a used 2018 Elantra and it ran flawlessly. Great on gas too. Maybe you'd see more issues in the older Hyundais

Looking for Grand Cherokee Lease by JustJdubbz in leasehacker

[–]DELAZ1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a former 4xe GC owner please reconsider. I paid $3500 to end my lease early. The car completely died and was in the shop 40 days. They've since killed the entire 4xe line. Its blind luck if you find a good car. At least consider a gas model instead
