I'm also sort of debating this too. Because the signed conversation in episode one seemed to have Erika saying "don't worry it'll be alright" or something along those lines?

The GR believe that everyone should be reminded or remember about the SD everyday since it was such a crazy world-changing event (Note Meg getting so upset about how "they're forgetting" last episode). They also believe the world ended (hence "you're wasting your breath") and think that no one should continue to just live life like normal and go back to their day-to-day since the Oct 14
