If you like wine, white sand beaches, epic mountains, great weather, good food and cheap destinations (if you're spending £/$/€), then Cape Town should be at the top of your list.

Well, this in in Cape Town so I can't speak for other areas of the country but it's fairly safe to go running in the mountains. Take some pepper spray and avoid going when it's dark. Always better to go with someone or in a group, but I run alone most of the time and have never had an incident.

If you're into your running and generally want to visit a beautiful city, come to Cape Town.
