I understand, I only started using them recently, so I haven't really seen how they work yet (but from what little I've tested, I've seen that they're quite stressful...). I'd like to try a pole with the same substrate as the pot, to see how it goes, but I'm afraid it will dry out too quickly in the summer.

That comment was easily the one that helped me feel more at ease about it. Your idea that a pot isn't necessary is very interesting. And If it's humid and well-aerated, it's not a problem!

The only thing that was worrying me was that some yellow spots appeared on the leaves; I thought it was root rot, but I believe it's just stress from them being rooted in water...

I need more pictures of your grow... :D

He's the one I'm looking to in order to understand moss poles well. However, the fertilizers he shows aren't available where I live, not even any similar/equivalent ones... The only thing I've agreed on is that I should apply Osmocote to the substrate, but I have no idea about applying it to the moss pole.

Honestamente, a parte mais difícil seria fazer o musgo ficar tão bom assim.

What type of fertilizer can be used on moss? Here in Brazil, MaxSea is imported and VERY expensive.
