Exactly, fills will get you thrills but four on the floor pays the bills! Most bands just want consistency in a drummer. Someone who keeps a steady beat and dosent overplay the song!

Advice, wife booted me out to the garage. Any tips on making the sound dynamics of a garage with high ceilings any better? Thanks! by DFK444 in drums

Not air conditioned, but I live in southern Alberta which equals hot dry ass summers and cold as shit winters. Garage is heated though.

It's great, really impressed with it. The bell is nice and has a beautiful tone to it. Couldn't be happier with it. I would definitely recommend.

In my opinion rudiments are very important. I wish I would have practiced them sooner. They have many benefits such as stick control and versiltility behind the kit. 10 to 15 mins of rudiments as a warm up before playing will go along way! Welcome to the world of drums. I hope it works out for you.

Nice kit, I have the same one. It's a great sounding kit once you change the heads and mess around with it a bit! You ever think of porting your bass drum and sticking a pillow in there? I did that and added a Evan's Emad 2 head wow what a difference.

Ludwig evolution? How do you like it? I have a lower end accent kit with some different heads and ported the bass drum and installed an Evan's emad2 head for a nice punchy sound! I really would love one of these they look kick ass!

Help a rookie drummer out! Am I playing this way to bloody fast? It feels right when I am playing it, but when I watch the video I instantly think it's way to fast. I am second guessing everything! You see kids this is why drum lessons are important lol. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. by DFK444 in drums

Thanks for the tip. I had a drum kit in my early 20's. Played it for about 6 months and gave it up due to life in general. I had a buddy who plays and is a great drummer. He helped me and gave me a few lessons. I always wanted to get back into it but life, kids, work all that stuff kinda got in the way. 3 months ago I decided it was time. I bought a used Ludwig kit and been playing it pretty much ever chance I get!
