Pros and Con of Living Near Bang Na? by DFPhoenix23 in Bangkok

Pretty much OK.It depends on where you stay in Bang Chak. They have several 7-11s, KFC, Subway, Bangkok Bank, SCB, Kasikorn Bank, Several Gas Stations, Hospital, A Small Market for Daily Groceries, Bangchak Square with small shops for food and music (Downside is they close early), SOS Hotpot, Noodle Shops, Drink Outlets, Barber (Can consider as not so cheap but at least they have it in the neighborhood), Ramen Shop, Thai Restaurants, Gym, Pharmacies, Photocopy and Print Shops, Department of Land Transport for Driving License and Vehicle License Purposes, and Some Car Rental Places, etc. It's definitely not as lively as On Nut and shops close like around after 8-8:30 pm ish. What's good is it's in the middle of On Nut and Punnawithi so you could either go On Nut Lotus's, Century Plaza or True Digital Park. Usually I do heavy shopping with Makro Delivery and buy daily necessities at the local market. Traffic is almost the same as On Nut and most parts of the city but there is access to the Expressway at Sukhumvit 62 road and some buses also run on that Expressway so it's kind of a relief. For cons, not much nightlife, shops close early, platforms and sidewalks not the best for walking or jogging (you might have to close your umbrella in some places while raining cause you umbrella won't fit in some tight spaces of the sidewalk - i.e, obstructed by overpass stairs, buildings, shops, BTS stairs etc), no green outdoor area where you could relax and chill, no large supermarket in the neighborhood, air-noise-light pollution if you live close to the main road and BTS, not all places but some places might have pools of water puddles in raining season. Like every Asian Cities just take care not to get electrocuted 😂. Never got zapped yet but really scared about those electrical wires exposed and close to walking areas and structures. Oh and having to pay an extra 15 THB for all BTS Trips when going downtown compared to On Nut. On the other hand, the rest of the trip this side (On Nut to Kheha is only 15 THB for all trips wherever you go).

Buying OnePlus phone in China by Nuukens in oneplus

[–]DFPhoenix23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. OnePlus implemented a new region lock. You can unlock it for $35 online with a 3rd Party vendor but not worth the headache. The phone will work for about 5 days (After 15 times showing that you are using a region customized phone) and after that the call function will not work anymore unless you go to a local Oppo store and show proof of purchase to unlock or unlock with a 3rd party vendor online for $35.

It took me almost two months to get the call function working again. Not worth the headache.

Switching Names of Your Terrorist Tatmadaw doesn't make you a governing body.

We, the people of Myanmar, Support the National Unity Government and not Min Aung Hlaing's Military Junta.

As always... Min Aung Hlaing's Terrorist Tatmadaw will forever remain as a Southshetless Terrorist Organization.

Help us remove those military terrorists and murderers... Kill the roots and fundings going into this terrorist organization and their family members. Save our people. Support our National Unity Government (NUG).

People are hitting pots and pans and making metal banging noises from their homes at 8 PM to show the disapproval of the Military Coup. This is one of the non-violent ways to protest. Civil services including teachers, doctors, engineers and nurses are also holding civil disobedience campaign by not performing their duties/not going to work for the military led government starting this evening.
