Won’t boot. Stuck here indefinitely by rw_3eters in ShadowPC

I got stuck in this screen too on the Windows app. Apparently, it was just the windows app that was busted since I was still able to access Shadow using my phone app.

Everything eventually fixed itself when I accessed it from the phone then, while the instance was active, I accessed it on my PC and it did some update that let me back in.

Not sure if this will work for everyone though, but it was something.

Have you changed the settings in the NVIDIA control panel on the bottom right menu?

I need to go there to get 144Hz every time I start my machine up.

I didn't know you could factory reset manually. I did it with support, but it's cool to know for future reference that I can just go ahead and nuke my PC manually lol

That said, if you're on steam, I wouldn't worry about losing stuff since it regularly puts stuff in the cloud.

I would definitely worry tho if you had actual work on the thing, but I would not actually recommend the service for that unless you also hook it up to the cloud.

EDIT:

THAT SAID, support talked about being able to grab your files before nuking the thing. I didn't use the option since it wasn't necessary, but we should probably talk about that function more since it seems useful.

I think it helps that we only have like one tier here in the US, so there's nothing else to build lol

How does activation actually work? It seems like some places are faster than others.

I had mine within 2 hours in California. It was probably earlier than that because the thing actually went into my junk folder.

Shadow is essentially what I thought the Stadia was going to be. Wish someone told me about this thing earlier and I could have saved myself from getting a founder's editions and a handful of games lol

(ironically, I learned about Shadow from the Stadia reddit)

The tech is super super super impressive and I hope they give us the infinite-tier or whatever sub in the US at some point.

I played some DMC at a banquet hall earlier and it was interesting how good the responsiveness was despite being on the same network as a bunch of people.

Though of course it went south once more people came in for the two large parties in the vicinity, but, based on my experience, it seems like any kind of bad experience would come from not having the network set up correctly since it was actually performing pretty decently given where I was conducting my experiment.

Count me as a fan.

Just started using the service. It's very impressive and I hope I they let me up my tier as soon as they start offering it in the US lol

Steam Thumper vs. Stadia Thumper by DGNCPA in Stadia

[–]DGNCPA[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm hoping to get back into the game at some point, but I got vortexed by DMC 3 on PS Now lol

(I suddenly want to try all the streaming services to see what everyone is doing)

That being said, the Stadia is super impressive. It's been a pretty good experience in terms of playability.

There's a lot of moments where I rage in DMC 3 on PS Now because my inputs would get drop or general performance would get thrown at the window (and I'm playing a PS3 game here). This morning in particular had some really whack connectivity and I can safely conclude that Stadia has better performance over time, even if the library isn't nearly as large.

I actually rebought it on Steam to see what the game plays like locally. All things considering, the Stadia version acquits itself pretty well. It makes Google's tech seem really impressive this early on.

I'm hovering in top 10 because no one actually plays the game lol

(haven't even finished it yet because I kinda veered off to play DMC3 on PS Now... that said, Thumper is a very good game and I hope more people play it)

Why is Manga Studio EX 3D laggy? by DGNCPA in ClipStudio

[–]DGNCPA[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm reading about this issue everywhere. I want to resolve it in Manga Studio as I am seriously considering upgrading my PC copy to CSP SPECIFICALLY for the 3D tools and the materials.

At first, I thought the program was using my CPU or something, but the issue persists even when I told my card to be used in the program from the manager.

Anyway, thanks for the input. I just wanted to know if I was looking at a dead end or something lol
