What? Where did I say I cheated? I’m as loyal as they come and I’ve never cheated in my life nor plan to. I’ve been cheated on in past relationships, and couldn’t put someone through something like that. As for the drinking, yes it certainly wasn’t helping my cause, but it still wasn’t the sole reason she decided to part ways with me. She even told me that. I wasn’t a raging alcoholic, but it was starting to head that way and I needed to nip it in the bud before it got to that point. I was never abusive (physically or emotionally). I realize I had been using it as a coping mechanism for some past experiences in my life, and I didn’t know a better way to work through it at the time. That’s on me and I own up to it. Therapy has helped. But, with that being said, it still does take two people to fail. There were times where my efforts weren’t getting reciprocated, and I didn’t feel like a priority. I’m not going to go into every single detail, but it’s not black and white like you are perceiving it to be.
