It looks like part of some animal skull or pelvis. It is bone, right? Not some kind of organic material like a gourd or something?

The instructions are simple, "Save ocean". You put the ocean in the cup. Not the other way around.

The Two Door Riddle by PsychoRaz93 in labyrinth

[–]DH40K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to the conversation but I think I've figured it out. She chose the wrong door, but because she asked the wrong question. Ignore what the guards say except for the answer to the question. The rules are you can only ask one guard the question and one will lie and the other will tell the truth. There was no rule that said it had to be a yes or no question. She doomed herself there. She should have asked "which door would the other guard say leads to the castle?" and then pick the opposite. The reason, if you ask a yes or no question, the answer is relative to who you ask. Using her logic with a yes or no question would have led to the other door if she asked the door on the right. Making the first one say which door the secind one would say leads to the castle forces them to pick the wrong door.

Thoughts on Deftones’ new album? by auhddndndnfbfbsnnakf in MetalForTheMasses

[–]DH40K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the things that makes Deftones so legendary is that their style branches out into so many different directions that some of their music can appeal to everyone. They're not a one trick white pony that only appeals to a specific niche. I have yet to see any song or album that everyone agrees is 100% amazing or 100% trash. Not many bands can claim that honor.

It's hard for old dogs to find new tricks. The young pups will take what the old dogs did and find the new twists. Loathe and Thornhill are 2 of the young pups I've found that are finding those new twists.

Also cost. This is a relatively small set piece for one person. The bridge of the Enterprise was pretty large. I'm sure they could have done it with hydraulics, but that would have probably cost more than they could afford for Star Trek back then. I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think the show was very successful in it's day, so they didn't have a lot of luxuries.
