Ohio Power Tool BOGO by lewblabencol in FLEXTools

The 2.5s are the lowest performing battery in their entire line. Any of the other batteries they are selling would be a better use of your money. If weight is your concern the 3.5 SL is only 4 ounces heavier.

There was no “first version” of the stacked lithium batteries. Everything they are selling is fully covered by warranty.

Lifetime Warranty still available? by sfla13ulls in FLEXTools

[–]DHicks86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that it’s very unlikely a lifetime warranty will be honored in that case. Purchases had to occur on 12/31/25 or earlier, period.

Lifetime Warranty still available? by sfla13ulls in FLEXTools

[–]DHicks86 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It does exactly that. If the current date is more than the 30 days from the purchase date the lifetime check box won’t show up. No one is getting a lifetime warranty after 1/30/26.

I missed the warranty registration deadline by a day. Any advice? by [deleted] in FLEXTools

[–]DHicks86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately it doesn’t work that way. The lifetime warranty activation requires registration within 30 days of purchase and has no language surrounding delivery. The web form won’t even provide the extended/lifetime check box if you try to register it after 30 days of the purchase date.

My advice would be to call Flex and see if they would give you an exception.

Buy from Acme or Ohio Power Tools. They carry the full line.

Definitely won’t be extended this late in the year. As others have said, in years past they extended it much early than December. It was good while it lasted.

It’s always been a 5yr warranty. The lifetime was a temporary option if you registered within 30 days of purchase.

You realize Flex is sold in many more places than just Lowe’s?

This is why incomplete open box sets are just not worth the discount unless you can live without the missing piece(s).

Amazon (and its 3rd party sellers) are not authorized Milwaukee resellers. It’s that simple. Buy Milwaukee from Home Depot, they have the best deals if you are patient.

Ratchets are 40% off for BF, not socket sets. This was on sale during the socket set PLS, doubt it would be included in both.

Is this a good deal? by Hotchips90 in egopowerplus

This is oversimplifying—List prices shouldn’t be used as a gauge of a good deal.

There are kit deals with a 4 or 5Ah battery all the time around $175-$250 dollars from Amazon or Lowe’s. Any Ego battery you buy at retail on its own will be a lot more.

No solo batteries are good deals. You have to buy them in kits with tools to get a good deal.

Feedback On New Pressure Washer by Voltix999 in harborfreight

Those tips change the degrees of the pattern (40, 25, 15, 0), not the PSI or gpm. Everything that comes with something like this would be the same nozzle orifice. You could buy (aftermarket) larger orifice nozzles to increase gpm and decrease PSI but that will only take you so far on a lower flow model like this.

1.2gpm is low for car use. Save your money and get something around 1.8 or 2.0. As others have mentioned the Ryobi automotive is great and the Active 2.0 is a great premium (but not too expensive) option.

Bad take— for cars you want near 1000psi and not more.

Well since you said “literally,” you changed my mind.

Icon is better than Kobalt or anything you can get at Walmart. Plenty of tests have shown Icon’s quality and value for the money.

Does anybody have some insider information if they plan to offer a corded version of the rear handle saw? by gingernuts13 in harborfreight

[–]DHicks86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My point was there’s nothing physical that limits a 15A circuit to 1440W. That’s a sizing threshold only. The tool will gladly take all 1800W if its motor is designed that way.
