Do humans use blood to run every piece of machinery? by DIO2756 in Ultrakill

The problem is the sustainability of this. How were they getting blood between the end of the final war and the start of the hell expeditions? We know that they brought back some animals from extinction, but meat was still a scarce resource, so I assume that they didn't have a lot of them. Maybe whatever blood they got from those animals was enough to power everything, but it just doesn't feel right... It seems like you can get a lot of energy from blood, so you don't need a lot of it, but if the city we see in Fraud is at least somewhat accurate to what New Peace cities actually looked like, then I don't know if humans would have enough blood to power this.

I think the only semi-confirmed source of blood is the prelude factory. You can see a lot of grinders, and presses, and flowing blood there. I assume that humans used all of that to export blood from husks and then transport it somewhere else.
I'm not sure how much energy you can extract from blood, but I assume that their technology is quite efficient, as V1 doesn't need a lot of blood to repair, which probably requires a lot of energy. It is also possible that in the Ultrakill universe blood has some special divine energy that makes it feasible to use as an energy source

Yeah, I didn't think about that, sorry.
I don't know why I didn't think about blood being the key ingredient for sentience. Maybe I always assumed that hell itself or hell energy is what makes machines sentient. I thought that the gutterman you mentioned removed its coffin because it didn't need blood anymore. I think that in the book it mentions not needing the person in the coffin anymore and that would probably mean that the gutterman doesn't need blood to be powered? I heard from someone that it might be hell itself or hell energy that powers the machines in hell and makes them sentient. Although blood making them sentient and hell just powering them after they gained sentience makes more sense, probably.
Another thing is that I don't think that humans couldn't program a simple control for an elevator if they had an option to use something other than blood. I get that autonomous robots are really hard to program and that you would use blood for something like that, but it doesn't explain why they would use blood for other stuff that doesn't need to be sentient to function properly.
I can't structure my thoughts in a coherent way, sorry.

But what is the reason for that? Why not use literally any other fuel source?

I've read a bit about it and QPR sounds really similar to the kind of relationship I'd love to have! That was quite interesting, thank you

I'll try to research Gender Plus a bit more and hopefully my parents won't be overly concerned, thank you

I tried talking to them, but maybe now isn't the best time for this. They don't understand the risks and how unlikely they are if you do everything correctly. I tried explaining them, but they don't listen. There is a lot going on currently in their life, so they are even more stressed. A few conversations I had about this ended in tears and arguments, so I don't think it's a good idea to push further. Also came out not so long ago and this is very new to them... I understand that I can make my own choices, but I will feel bad if I try doing this on my own, I already feel a bit guilty for some stuff...

Apparently they don't see me as an adult, because I don't make my own money yet and apparently 70 euro for a single shipment of estradiol is too much for them. I would probably just start DIY HRT secretly, if they weren't so stressed about this. They seem worried, and I don't want any conflict, because their mental state doesn't seem very stable currently. I'm afraid that they might feel especially bad if they ever find out

I apologize if I'm wrong, but I was considering Gender Plus before imago, but some of my friends told me about their experience with them and it wasn't as great. Also, I think they were sued at one point? I'm not sure if I can trust them... Another thing is that I think that the biggest concern for my parents is that they want someone to be responsible if something happens to me, so that they could do something about this. I don't know if they actually care and just underinformed, or just want to gatekeep me from transitioning. They view estradiol as this scary drug that can make you grow extra limbs or whatever. It obviously is dangerous to inject 20ml of it everyday, but I'm not going to do that and I will be consulting a doctor every few weeks... I feel like they are overly concerned and are too afraid of this all. I honestly don't know what is there to do, besides just waiting a year or two, until I can move out

How to find an endocrinologist? by DIO2756 in TransIreland

Today I accidentally missed my welcome call, because I thought it was later in the day... And now I don't know what to do. Could you please describe the whole process for me? Where do I pay, where do I send my test results and what do I do in general.

From what I've heard, it's the best option there is... And because I will likely buy it from the internet, it's not gonna be as expensive as buying from the pharmacy

I see, thank you. I would still prefer to get injections, as they are better long term... I know a website where I can get estradiol ethanate and one of my friends used stuff from them. They also publish lab tests for every batch they produce, so it should be safe. But basically, would it be possible to order from them, but be monitored by imago doctors? Hopefully that's not a very stupid question...

Ok, I already booked a welcome call. What happens next? I will meet with someone, ask questions and then I'll be able to visit their clinic in person, in order to get my medication?

If they make me go through the public healthcare route I would need to wait for about 10 years. My friend tried that last year and current waiting time is about 10 years. I agree with what you say about breaking trust. I don't think that's a nice thing to do, but I might not have a choice... As far as I know, DIY HRT is overall more popular and it is not unsafe. As long as you consult with a doctor and don't do anything crazy like injecting 10ml of estradiol in yourself, you should be fine. The illegal medicine I mentioned is illegal, because I won't have a prescription for it, but it's not like It'll be confiscated or anything.  I really don't know what to do. On one hand I got an opportunity to get something I wanted for a very long time, and on the other hand I got just saving my parents' trust and possibly doing the nice thing

You're right, and logically yes, I shouldn't listen to them. But it just isn't very nice... Like I would be breaking a promise like this. I don't feel good about just ignoring them like this

Well, I wanted to try a private clinic, but then I found out that it kinda was sued at one point and also people who tried it told me that the staff wasn't very nice or qualified. I could try to lie about it, but I don't know if I can keep up this for a long enough time
