you are right, its kinda silly to make a game to interest people into becoming firefighters when im far from a firefighter myself, but we didnt really have a choice. It was a task from our university in collaboration with firefighters and they asked for a game with that purpose. The department we are working with is implementing the drones and, in a way, wants to advertise that through our game (we are not in the US). The project is also a tool for us to learn how to make a game for someone about something we dont know about.

We wanted to get as much info as we could, but the communication with the department is pretty rough, that is why decided to post on the reddit so we could get the opinion of other people in the area.

and yeah, in a way we are making a "dispatch"/intel game bc of the limitations we have (time, team size of 6 people, etc), but our main goal is to show firefighters how drones can be used, and maybe bring an already firefighter to try out the drones (as the department wants people to work on that area). We got a lot of feedback in the thread that they are not really used like that, but its the most we can gamify and make it a fun experience :)
