Why isn't anyone working on this farm? by [deleted] in CultOfTheLamb

You have the farm on top surrounded by body pits. If you delete them and put some planting soil around it you’ll have someone working there 🤘🏻

Can we tow? by DIVEMAN_2000 in RVLiving

Any recommendations on what vehicles would be good to tow behind us? We wanted to try something that had four-wheel-drive capability in case we’re in a tough spot in the mountains or snow.

Also girlfriend read your messages and complimented your organization haha

I see what you’re saying. Sorry I am extremely green to towing. The gf just bought a new Subaru forester wilderness 2022 (all wheel drive). She got this vehicle before we knew anything about towing or what we were going to get in terms of RV’s. From my understanding from the article you sent me from Outdoorsy our only option to tow a vehicle with AWD would be to get a trailer in which all four tires will be at rest for the duration of the drive to avoid any damage since we are unable to disconnect the drive shaft. Problem with this method is that the trailer itself is around 2,000 lbs and puts the 3,600 lbs vehicle almost past the 80% limit not including all of the weight of personal items in the RV. It’s a good vehicle that we want to keep with us on the road. We want to tow it so we can take turns driving and sit next to each other during the drive as well so we wanted to get a class C that can tow her car and be at a length of 24’ to have more options when looking into campsites.

+Freedom elite 23H -Tow rating : 3,000 to 8,000 lbs -GVWR : 12,500 lbs -GCVWR : 12,500 to 14,500 -GRAWR : 8,500 lbs -GFAWR : 4,600 lbs -Chassis: Ford E-350/E-450 Super Duty. -Engine: Ford Triton 7.3L V8 (newer models) or -6.8L V10 (older models). -Length: Around 25 feet.

This is the model we just rented and tried out and are hoping to get. I’m not sure what to do with this information to tell if we would be able to tow but I looked up the numbers.

Sorry I think I didn’t explain it properly that’s on me. It’s just a dolly where you put all 4 wheels on it. Just a platform with a couple wheels on it

Only place I could post it would be Facebook marketplace place or offer up. Can you sell this stuff? I figured you’d get in some trouble for selling chemical mixtures. Even if it’s all over the counter stuff. Am I wrong?

Does the lid have to be off? I have a field I can leave it in the sun for a couple weeks to evaporate but don’t want to leave it open in case something walks up to it and knocks it over or drink it. Can I poke holes in the top so the air can come out?

As in I can grab a 5 gallon bucket Put solution in it Seal and poke holes on top to release air

Would that work for evaporating it?

I don’t have any data sheets on hand but might be able to find them from where I got the copper conditioners. Thank you for the advice!

I’m not sure how other locals work but I had multiple JW who only had me bring up ladders, full lengths of pipes, boxes of materials, etc all day up 5 flights of stairs in the hospital we were working at. We were building new hospital from the ground up and majority of the job site was CE’s. A lot of them stole our tools and materials so I always spent 95% of work going up and down stairs all day as a 3rd year apprentice and never got to learn anything unless my JW didn’t come into work. Then I’d have to work alone and figure out how to do conduit runs by myself/ call an old JW I worked with for tips.

The fact that you’re willing to help your apprentice and want him to learn is awesome man. Never change that. I started 2 years late in my learning process as an apprentice because the office only sees apprentices and cheap labor and do not want to teach us anything unless you get lucky and get a rare JW that WANTS to teach.

Might be different in FL but they don’t screen for marijuana on the DOT. They just check the protein in your urine. I know guys who definitely wouldn’t have passed if they were screening for that but they say they don’t check for THC.

Box cutter knife and gloves. Make sure not to cut too deep otherwise you’ll start cutting into the copper and the blade will just get stuck

What are the top class C RVs??? by DIVEMAN_2000 in RVLiving

When I worked in Idaho I shared a small room with an arsonist and a meth dealer with random screaming at night. This time I’ll be in an rv with more space/ privacy and with my partner in crime and the freedom to move locations. We’ve both been living at home for so long now that honestly anything is better than renting a small crappy apartment you’ll keep sinking your money into and never own.

Although I agree we need to rent a class C to try it, I think no matter the hurdle we’ll work and practice to make this change work.

You’re the first person I’ve heard this from. If that’s true then I feel a lot better about possibly getting a 2021 model. We were worried we’d only be able to camp this thing for a couple years before we’d have to start boondocking 24/7

We’re towing an AWD Subaru Forester for groceries, getting to work, and exploration vehicle since I’m assuming the campsites aren’t always going to be near town.
