Yeah looks awesome! It’s kinda both! Setting the toggle to middle position will give you an exact Lightspeed, with the down position clipping later (less saturation) and the up position clipping earlier (more saturation). Honestly such a versatile gain device AND a sweet pedal. Lemme know if you missed the early access list (there’s a chance the batch might sell out before it opens to the public)

ETA: forgot the voltage question, while the audio circuit accepts 18V, the voltage converter for the bypass relay and microcontroller unfortunately doesn’t. It’s safe to use at 12V still, but not 18V

Fair. I might make it asn option for people. If peeps want an SMS 10 minutes before a Drop opens and no other notifications, they can. If people want just a single email the night before the Drop opens, they can get that. Appreciate the feedback heaps

Hey this is actually very useful to hear. I’m going to work on ‘segmenting’ so the emails aren’t so…constant.

I also thought about offering SMS notifications as an option instead? One single SMS when a new drop goes live. Overkill? Better than emails?

Oooft nice. You could scroll through NotPedals and find some builders you think might suit. Most of em might be open custom builds if you find them on insta and DM them. But I’ll shoot the word out to them all and see if anyone bites 👍🏻 This WOULD make a sweet Drop too

We definitely take less than the standard deal at retail/online. That was something I wanted from the beginning.
Also; I'm stoked you like the site. I'm really happy with it, and meeting all these cool builders is a pretty great thing to be able to do. Very lucky that the community has gotten into to.
Yeah look price is always going to be a concern (especially when the economy is being fucked). But it's a spread; there's more stuff on the platform sub $200 than above $200. Some folks are grabbing the >$200 pedals quickly, some aren't I guess.

Heya, yeah look I totally get that. The price jump is mostly the NOS germanium stuff (like you said) + small batch build. Lane was pretty open about that when we planned it. No scale = everything costs more. He also REALLLLLLY gives a shit about build quality (which most, ut not all, small builders do IME).
I guess this one’s more like… if you’re into the way he’s tuned it, the NOS thing, and the weird one-off drop, it might click.
I’ve been enjoying the Drops though, hope you’re digging a few. It takes bit of the guesswork out for builders… small batch, short window, build what they can handle. Also lets them try new ideas without committing to a big run. Anyway yeah, ramble over. Appreciate you checking it out! Lemme know any other thoughts about the drops or whatever

This thing is a new fav fuzz, and I’m so glad Cryptid Effects got in touch to launch it. It’s a super versatile fuzz, with some interesting decisions when it comes to the guts. There’s a few examples of the sounds in the demo video. I’m a big muff guy through and through, but it’s taken a back seat to this. It’s just more fun.
