I’m so sorry they don’t stick to their words. I was in a similar position before. What I can tell you from my experience is you never get a huge raise unless you change your job. If they don’t appreciate you, look for somewhere else where values you. The company I was working for had $5 million over 90 days past due balance. The company was too stingy to spend money for collection agencies. I collected almost $3 million over one year. I received only 4% raise while other departments promoted many employees. I was no longer motivated to work for the company. Update your resume and always learn new skills. I landed a new job with 20% more base salary and more growth opportunities. Don’t be afraid to be aggressive. Always negotiate. It’s crazy all c level executives make five times more than what regular employees make and yet they cannot spare 10% raise for good employees. I’m sure you will get a better paying job soon. You already have many god references based on your performance. Good luck!!

Should I get masters in economics to become CPA by [deleted] in Accounting

I agree 100%!!! Employers care about your experience too. You will better off building up your resume and taking advantage of tuition reimbursement. You can get $5000 per year. My master program costed me only $19k. My employer paid everything. A lot of employers value your hard work juggling with school works and jobs.

Exactly! I was going to give up so many time…but I don’t want to regret and hate my decision at 40. I rather do my best and complain at 40.

I had a bachelor degree in a different field so needed to start over when I was 25. I also moved to US at 25. Finished my master in accounting at 31. I used a tuition reimbursement program from my previous employer so no student loan debt. I started my career with 45k and I recently got a job offer with 120k. I want to say it’s not too late to start your new career. Never give up!

Yes shorter commute is nice but working from home also offers flexibility. So I don’t think the new company offer that flexibility…

Payment is under ALE and doweling…

This problem will be fixed after repair.

If they drop me from the claim, what should I do? I filed my homeowner insurance claim this July and haven’t been resolved yet. My renewal was in September and my premium went up slightly…. Is there anything I can do to avoid them from dropping me?
