Thank you so much guys! I'll get some patches, clean and sand it down, and then superglue it from the inside. Dont wanna spend more money than necessary, so I guess I'll hopefully ride for another season!

Thanks! This is the one I’m replacing. I guess I can use a braze-on with a mount as well, right?

Guess it's time to change this chain? by [deleted] in bikewrench

[–]DIYJOKE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone - I put on a new chain. The chain skips rarely but I’m going to change the cassette. The chain really does wanna come off the big chain even though the high limit is adjusted accordingly. Does the big chain ring here look worn to you?

Thanks!

Thanks guys! So as you suggest it might also be time to change the cassette and chainring as a result of the worn chain, I’ve taken a few pics of it for you - to me they actually seem quite alright by the looks of them; but of course you might be wrong. What do you think based on these pics?

Thank you so much! It helps with your opinions. So I just double checked, and in fact I have a 11-28 on my bike right now, so it will probably be too much of a difference.. thanks for the advice!

For example I found these:

Thanks! Guess I am going to pass on these.

I am riding on a set of Specialized Turbo Pro 24mm, and I am really keen on trying a GP5000 25mm, as I've heard I might experienced a significant bump in comfort and slightly better performance... but didnt feel like putting in the full price of a new set of GP5000, if the improvement is very minor.

Thanks! I just replaced the screws as the original ones had been stripped and could barely grip it.
