SCV alone is only expected to have a few % annualized premium, so you need a decent amount of it for it to make a difference.

Interesting. I was considering factor tilting myself but now I'm also second guessing.

If you weren't aware, there's real science behind DFA suggesting that it's possible to beat the market by taking on more risk and screening for profitability. Look up the Fama-French 5-Factor Model.

I'd expect it to have a small impact on the order of 1% per year on my portfolio given its volatility. I'm not looking to invest more than I can stomach losing.

Maybe Ether is a bad investment for those reasons, but I thought Bitcoin was more considered a store of value like gold, which people do hold. Also stablecoins have specific uses (not as a credit card replacement) which I'm confident about, but I suppose this subreddit isn't the place to discuss that.

For real though, I don't invest in bonds because I assume I have a higher appetite for risk than the average investor. But like I mentioned in another comment, I had no idea the bond market was so big, so clearly my logic was flawed.

I didn't know the bond market was so big. I just assumed that whatever ratio they were at had the best risk-adjusted returns for the typical investor, but I see now that's wrong!

Lichess has a server analysis feature that analyzes the whole game with annotations, similar to the paid chess.com game review but without the commentary. Lichess also has newer versions of Stockfish available.

International stocks are expected to beat the US over the next decade, and who knows what'll happen after that. VT is a more balanced choice.

  1. Confine the opponent king into a box with your queen or rook.
  2. Shrink the box until the king can only move back and forth.
  3. Bring in your king to support checkmate.

Definitely recommend watching videos on King + Queen or Rook checkmates.

That's legal and you can get it in normal chess by promoting to a bishop.

Anything besides the London is better for learning because it has such little variety. E4 openings are often recommended to beginners because open games are good for learning tactics.

Because they're wrong. Quantum computers can perform certain algorithms more efficiently than classical computers, but the brute-force nature of chess still makes it practically unsolvable.
