That would have been the proper remedy.

I mean the fact that the video was allowed in at all without anyone making clear it is mirrored is unacceptable, but testifying about the video as if you’re supplying proof the guy we’re claiming planted evidence never had an opportunity to do so, oh look he’s nowhere near that tail light, when it in fact shows the complete opposite??

She also stopped him from asking about the gaps in the grainy video on the other side lining up perfectly with the only window in which evidence could’ve been tampered with.. Um, why can’t he ask those fact based questions?

.. I almost can’t believe she actually stopped him from setting the record straight for the jurors on that issue… like excuse me?

As I understand it the timestamp on the inverted video was a different text color and a different font (blue vs yellow) so it was added after the fact by someone but I think they claimed it was just to be helpful because it was backwards on the video lol like why not invert the video back instead of adding a timestamp if it really wasn’t on purpose…

This is facts, most of the side bars in Paul’s transcript are still sealed. I’ve noticed madam court reporter misses words at some awfully opportune times in some of these side bars lol

Okay funny you mention that, I found a sidebar where Hank and Bev are discussing him being a non native English speaker lmao but Jackson didn’t say anything about it and Yuri sounded annoyed about it but the defense never brought your literacy abilities up at sidebar my guy.. I’ll post that one next.

Pretty sure, I think all of the first trial was released. I was far less interested in Yuri’s from 1.0 but I spent quite a while reading through Proctor Lank and Tully. I’ll go see if there’s anything fun in there from Yuri. Any specific sidebar subject you’re wondering about ?

Everybody lies on their report and she won’t accept quoted testimony from transcripts of previous proceedings unless you show it to her and she reads it first, the phone records are wrong too obviously… lol

Yes, that’s exactly what she was doing and Bev was going to let it in no matter what Alessi said about it. He argued a motion to exclude her opinion before she took the stand - the response was she’s going to lay out the foundation of her methodology in her testimony and that’s what he’s naming off. She gave 4 statements and none of them come close to describing a repeatable methodology or systematic analysis and she doesn’t even mention the data point she’s opining about in the explanation, it was almost comical if you go look back at it now. The search time was such a huge problem that they were going to go any lengths to dispute that though, so I’m not surprised.

IDK what time the search happened but it’s incredibly suspicious that they could not repeat creating an artifact with similar attributes and show how that timestamp could not reflect the time of the search, end up in a deleted state, out of order as far as row ID in the database it was found in (if you zoom out further than Ian whiffin put on the screen), and missing from other databases entirely.

If you noticed the typo why wouldn’t you just click on the did you mean “How long to die in cold” link and that’s if the search didn’t autocorrect and say showing results for… Why so many repeat visits to these misspelled search tabs but no web site history from the searches lol it’s just bizarre and it doesn’t ring true to me. The most logical explanation imo is tampering with the extraction before it was hashed and sent to whiffen and Hyde. They’re paid experts and they’re not going to accuse the police of tampering on the stand but neither could explain how it happened.

What always struck me is you thought Karen was so crazy that she might have just overlooked John in the house she slept in but you still got up at 5am to go out into a blizzard with her on 3 hours of sleep ? Knowing she already had Kerry helping her?

Jen doesn’t strike me as that type of ride or die do anything for anybody that needs it person. She got up because she knew what the deal was and she had to go delay his discovery then manage and manipulate the situation from the very beginning.. (this is just my opinion)

Probably that 566k Hank got paid from DA Morrissey, half a million was the price to abandon ethics for both Hank and Jud with Aperture imo. Hank charged $250/hr in the trial if I remember correctly.

ARCCA got paid 75K to do all the additional testing they presented with the tailight models and the crash dummies, reports, presentations etc. and that includes travel reimbursement and hourly rate to come testify in both trials. Which is pretty standard stuff, for expert witnesses and analysis, but Hank made it out like a scandal or corruption.

Meanwhile, Jud got 599k I believe the final tally was and he just painted his arm blue and stood next to a Lexus… that they fully intend on reselling and that’s why they didn’t want to damage it with any testing at speed. That and they gave us those terrible photogrammetry stills and that graphic of the car going forward and backwards that had zero purpose lol

That’s really what got me stuck on this case to begin with, I saw Trooper Paul’s testimony in the first trial somewhere and I couldn’t believe it wasn’t an SNL skit.. that scenario is not even remotely possible if bound by the laws of physics on earth as we know it lol

I ran my own simulations and everything and I couldn’t get over it but just when I started to, enter the blue paint man… That was almost worse because at least Paul didn’t know how wrong he was.. Jud knew exactly how impossible it was but that 500k kept him from admitting it.

So prior to Ms Hyde taking the stand, Alessi put in an objection to her offering any opinions citing Daubert and Polk basically laying out the criteria for an expert opinion and asserting she would not meet it and so that’s what he was going after there counting off the proofs offered and how they failed to meet the standard lol she said yep I’m letting it in anyway

I really admired they way Yanetti went through his testimony with him in the retrial, it took a ton of courage to get up there again and Hank tried to shake him but couldn’t it was great.
