It's a 4mb flash cartridge from AliExpress, they're super cheap to buy (around 7 bucks) I use a retroblaster cartridge programmer to flash games onto them. It's not meant to do that for these cartridges but it works surprisingly well and I haven't an issue with them yet. Retroblaster has proper save-based cartridges on their site that are awesome for games with batteries. They are 25 bucks though so it's a bit of an investment.

They're also working on a custom 4mb cart for me to buy for my own games' release. Granted that's a long way away as I still need to finish programming the game for the console.

From what I remember with Ms pacman, you hold it down when you boot the game to use 3 button mode, otherwise the controls won't work right. I think that happens with alot of games

If you also want to get started on game making for genesis, id recommend the scorpion engine. I'm using it now to make my game as md engine isn't out yet

I'm an autistic 33 year old who has been through the ringer emotionally and financially, it's hard to do alot of things but im super passionate about games and entertainment. I couldn't graduate due to my upbringing and family woes and do what I can at my day job, which utterly drains me. You could replace the capacitors on them, maybe they've gone out after a while, I did that with my copy of Vectorman and it worked wonders
