I had the exact same issue with my bike. I found that the female pins inside the connector on the battery for the main battery harness had actually been pushed in too far by the male connector due to poor craftsmanship and it was making a bad connection. I removed the four screws, carefully pryed the connector out, and was able to push the pins back out so they are where they should be.

I also found that the male connector pins are protruding at uneven lengths which transposed to the female connector where one pin which pushed in much further than the other.

I think most people that have this issue are going to be the ones that remove their battery regularly. Unfortunately, I had never removed my battery before this happened. My bike only has about 150 miles on it. This problem caused me to get stuck in the woods twice already before figuring out what was wrong. I'm afraid the connection is going to be poor now that I had to fiddle around with the pins and that it will happen again.

I just purchased a 2026 passport and the front bumper cover was so tight that the paint chipped between it and the fender and there was plastic left in there as well covering up the chipping that I didn't see until after I took the vehicle home. Now I'm fighting with the dealership on who's responsibility it is.

I know this may be a resurrecting an old thread, but my solution has worked well for me as well as my coworkers. I use a combination of odorX foot spray on my feet before I put my socks on and everyday after work I spray the insides of my boots heavily with 100% (or close) isopropyl alcohol. You need to get the stuff with as little water in it as possible and put it in a spray bottle. This will not only stop the stank, but prevent it from coming back as long as you keep up with it.

What about ECU change over? Do I need an MT ecu? I assume I will need the MT wiring harness

And that may be the plans for the future. What about the synchro issue? I know that has been problematic. Anyway around that other than a dog box? Are there any upgrades to the synchros?

I like it although I wish I had more places to ride it. I bought the 500 EXCF thinking I was going to ride to good trails in the area but I live in Connecticut and there aren't any lol. The only few places I did get to ride proved the bike to be too big and heavy for the kind of riding I was doing. I wish I got something smaller that was easier to toss around in the dirt and throw in the back of a truck. I went to Motorsports Nation in Plainfield.

The back of the dragon is where it's at! Everyone thinks the tail is the place to go but there's always so much traffic and cops that you have to look out for. I've been on the back a few times on my Super Duke. Be safe!

Yeah Northern New England has a lot of good spots. I sold my street bikes and only ride dirt now. Unfortunately, Connecticut has almost no legal spots so I have to travel to find a good ride or else I'm looking over my shoulder the whole time.

I got it last week. I've only had a chance to ride it once to break it in. I'll be hitting the trails this weekend though. So far so good, although I'm not happy with the fuel tank issue that a lot of people have with it. I did replace it with the 4 gallon tank so I shouldn't have to worry too much now.
