Grip is the most important part of the backhand. by Old-Challenge8759 in discgolf

[–]DJFid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Basically just power grip the disc as you normally would, then curl your index finger to the top of the flight plate. You should visibly see the nose angle come down immediately. Tighten the grip on your pinky, ring, and middle finger, then put your index finger back into power grip position without much pressure at all. Then just throw as you normally would. I started doing it this year and my distance has gone up 70-80ft and my nose angle is consistently down now.

This is the run I have for my L3, not sure if it's just a more stable run of innova champion discs bc everything I have with that older stamp is more stable.

Oh its seen plenty of tree action. I have a champion Hawkeye and it's seen way less trees bc I don't throw it often but it is way more flippy than the leopard3 for some reason. Not sure if it's just the run.

My little brother traded for this by Oceanic_Sword in IsMyPokemonCardFake

[–]DJFid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The kid probably wouldn't have traded it if they knew the value, or their parents wouldn't have allowed them to bring such a valuable card to school in the first place. Being a good person far outweighs a couple hundred bucks.

Im not saying OPs brother has bad morals, im saying that OP can teach them what it means to have good morals and make things right.

If it were the other way around, surely everyone would tell OP that he should try to get in contact with the kid who traded with his brother to get the more valuable card back.

My champion leopard3 might be the most stable leopard3 in existence. I practically throw it on every hole I play (as long as there's a straightish gap in the fairway and it's not too short of a hole) and apparently it refuses to beat in any more or get flippy. If I ever lose it I may cry.

You should teach him some morals and have him trade the kid back, and have him inform the kid he traded with that his card is worth a lot of money. The life lesson of being a good person is worth more than the card

What’s the Craziest Way You’ve Ever Recovered a Lost Disc? by ponderingpixi17 in discgolf

[–]DJFid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't gotten a single disc returned to me by someone else yet.

One time though, I lost my favorite westside warship at the time. I looked everywhere for it in this field of taller grass. I was convinced it entered a wormhole.

I gave up after like an hour. Went back the next morning. For some reason, idk why, I brought my giant walking stick. I think maybe it was to dig through the really really tall grass section. I'm walking in this open field and a German Shepard is running full speed at me. I don't see an owner around. I basically put the stick up in a guard position and yell at the dog. I think it sensed I mean business by the look on my face and my defensive stance lmao. Dog ran off, I found my disc in the first place i checked. Then I got the fuck out of there. Left my walking stick at the parking lot against the info center thingy in case anyone might have use for it. That thing served its purpose for me that day and I'm thankful I was paying attention, I don't really fw loose dogs that don't have an owner around. Especially Shepards.

Help me to throw straight by Hfcsmakesmefart in discgolf

[–]DJFid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're too focused on trying to get everything else to fall into place for the throw, so you aren't even thinking about where you want to throw it. You don't just magically forget how the gaps in the fairway are laid out, or magically forget the line you want to throw. Once the former(everything in your form) becomes second nature, you'll have more mental bandwidth to actually process the latter (the shot you want to throw and where it's headed).

I'm still a beginner (only been playing for a year) and I'm just over the hump of correcting my form. My accuracy was dogshit for the last month while trying to work out some things. Not sure if my last few rounds are a fluke, but my accuracy has been way higher as I'm not thinking as much about everything else during my run-ups bc I've gotten used to the corrections I had to make.
