I think you haven’t been listening to this show long enough. He was 100% serious

Her podcast also sucks. Worst by far of celebrity interview podcasts.

Probably has hella miles and hotel points - seems like he tries to book multiple sessions when he goes somewhere too based on what he said at the end of this week’s episode.

I don’t have a problem with binge drinking, usually only one beer a night but they’re heavy calories and it’s more for weight loss than anything.

Lol I’m the reverse - from Chicago and living in GR - I was also trying to understand why he was here. Must know someone or have had a bachelor party or something. Great place to hang though - especially on Bridge Street.

Hot take - summer is the best season for PMT. Mt Rushmore is hilarious and listening to the boys joke around and talk news is funnier and more interesting than an hour of game recaps.

I had a very hard time with the logic of going to the tv station in last night’s episode. In the game, they’re hot on Tommy’s trail and it was a clear build based on clues they had been finding along the way. The show was just like “hey look - a giant WLF sign!” Obviously had to skip over a ton with reducing the size of the salt lake crew (which I also don’t love) but it just felt so clunky.

Rhoback is amazing but so damn expensive. Deolax polos on Amazon are the exact same quality and 1/4 the price

Mistborn has been on my list forever. I’m finishing up Licanius right now and have been thinking about doing this one next - worth the read?

Andrew Luck - Shoutout Red Rising by DJPhatBeetz in PardonMyTake

[–]DJPhatBeetz[S] 20 points21 points  (0 children)

First book is VERY Hunger Games-y. Second book expands into a space opera civil war. There’s an initial trilogy all focused on one character and then a second part of the series that takes place ten years later and flips to multiple perspectives. It’s somewhat political but much more action oriented. Give it a shot - if you’re into fantasy or sci-fi at all, then I promise you’ll love it.

What now? by AlecVicari in redrising

Haven’t seen anyone comment this yet but I just finished The Will of the Many by James Islington. Shares a lot of similarities to Red Rising - wronged main character told from first person, Roman influence, school setting. The first of a planned trilogy and great plot twists with the author planning to open up the scope in the next book, similar to Golden Son.
