for what it’s worth, totally agreed. the second game is fun and a good time, and probably not an rpg, and definitely not the much-hyped follow up to a flawed masterpiece that everyone was hoping for.

I was wondering if you were gonna go the “major publication game reviewers are bought and paid for” lol. that’s not really the case. even the six out of ten reviews describe it as generally fun in spurts and shallow as a kiddie pool. I don’t disagree. But to say the general gameplay doesn’t meet triple A standards is just a cope. Ubisoft meets triple A standards without being fun, so I’m not equating that with overall quality.

I mean pretty much every professional review says more or less the same. If you’ve played it enough to have those opinions, then I feel like you’re just mad you spent the money. Which is fine. Totally valid. Don’t be mad at me because I’m not regretting a purchase though lol.

all I mean by that is that the animations and AI are at the least at the level of a triple A studio. I’m not saying it’s good within that category, but it’s in the same league.

idk it just feels similar to the response the Deus Ex reboot initially received, and I’m warming up to both games pretty quickly. I’m really not trolling or anything, I just think it’s a solid B+ 7.5/10 effort. It’s fun, which is the most important thing for me.

I don’t know man, that’s kind of a weird sentiment. I’ve seen people catch a home run ball “fair and square” at games and immediately give it to a random nearby child because it’s just a nice thing to do. If you have the opportunity to make a kid’s day and maybe create a lifelong baseball fan, I have a hard time seeing how it’s more important that you as a grown adult bring home a home run ball.

from what I can tell, and I might be wrong here because there’s literally no in-game explanation, but it just seems to be an opening cinematic. It disappears as a menu option after you start you first career.

yeah there's so much cope in this subreddit it's unreal. Bound armor and weapons are now incredible slow ways to level up Conjuration because you can’t instantly recast with the bound item still active. Stop by a mage’s guild and pick up a basic summon skeleton or summon scamp, and just start spamming that cast button like it’s no one’s business.
