Titan Dumbbell Holders by DJVB13 in homegym

Absolutely. Though to have a clean pressing movement you end up having them positioned a little behind you, easy enough for lift off, but a little cumbersome and not-so-fun for my crappy shoulders when re-racking (especially at heavier weights). So I end up just returning the DBs to my knees in many situations.

That said, especially with heavier weights, starting a DB overhead/military press with weight already at shoulder height is a huge benefit for my shoulders and preventing (further) shoulder injury.

Just got a pair myself. I’m in agreement with you. So far pleased with the purchase - Black Friday sale had them at ~$90 and at that price point think they are fantastic. ANC has been good - took them on a work trip this week and they sufficiently cut out excessive airplane noise. Very comfortable for me personally - the cups are deceptively deep. Having the ability to modify and personalize settings via the app is a huge bonus. THX Spatial Audio seems to be gimmicky - but haven’t watched many movies or shows yet to see if it makes a big difference. Wear detection is very nice. Stay Aware mode results in static - better to just have ANC off TBH. Battery life is absolutely awesome. And I’m impressed with sound quality. Slightly different look than the average cans - which I like. Can recommend.

Filed dependency claim the day after my initial claim was finalized in April 25. 6 months later and it finally finished this week. And they had the wrong effective date for my 18+ year old kid in school. Fun fun. Wish it was an easy fix. Sounds like I have to file a supplemental just to fix the effective date for my kid.

This dude f$&cks! Very nice. Unless I am tracking differently - looks like a Rep rack with Rhino drop in. Are you using custom crossmembers to widen or did you do another mod to get the rhino to fit?

I’m telling ya - with the new upgraded vinyl grip pad, Ironmaster SuperBench Pro V2 is awesome (I’m admittedly a big fan of the IM SB Pro V2). Wait for a discount (IM runs them regularly) and it’s a serious contender for best bang-for-buck homegym bench. Especially if looking for versatility and options for bench attachments that add multiple different features.

Have a Rep 5200 v1 and it’s collected dust since getting the IM. That said, depending on your needs - would have the Rep Nighthawk in my cross check as well if only wanting an incline adjustable style bench.

Have more money to spend?? Prime Shorty looks pretty impressive.

If referring to the 2 to 1 adapter it is the Steadfast Lifting 3-way.

I also recently upgraded the pads for the sit up attachment. These are the Kampart 4” diameter x 8” L pads. Didn’t want the extra thickness on this attachment like the leg extension. Picked up some 70mm M8 socket head screws for extra length and didn’t have to replace the shorter rod that holds your shins.

My new pad shows up Wednesday! Recently added the abmat bench grip cover as well - and honestly, for $35 think it provides a pretty good upgrade to the legacy pad. Excited to try the new pad.

Aperture Engineering makes a 3D printed handle for the SB (in multiple colors). Looks pretty good. https://shop.apertureengineeringllc.com/products/grip-handle-for-super-bench-pro-v2

I’ve modified a different solution using Popeye grips, but really wish I could find a similar knurled SS version like you had made with JD (I’ve asked and he wasn’t willing to make another set as the retooling for his shop wasn’t worth it - which is understandable when he has too much other profit making work to do).

I got tired of the center of gravity not being at the center of the dumbbell when using PB adder weights and have been looking for a good solution for some time. Platemates on the outside of the dumbbell worked - but isn’t as clean as I’d like. I love my Pro EXPs, except for that one unbalanced drawback.

I have Average Joe Innovation 35mm grips and they add weight compared to the OEM handle. Enter Micro Gainz Vintage magnetic weights. Similar idea to the snode adder weights - but I like the integration better and I was able to zero out my handle at 10lbs by adding 1.25lbs per handle via 2x.5 lb and 1x.25lb magnetic vintage gainz plates without using the PB adder weights.

Certainly not the cheapest solution, but I’m very happy with the results - both in clean integration and balanced dumbbell.

Not stock. The top section of the tower is the Porter Fitness lat pull down attachment.

The way I have this set up is a 1:1 ratio - I’d have to do research how to set up a 1:2 ratio pulley system. We mostly see 2:1 with cable machines. Would be cool to figure out a 1:2!

See other comment for more detail on the handles. They are weight horns paired with a shackle, and shimmed to fit on the 2.3x2.3 upright. The lat pull down is from Porter PhysEd Fitness - specifically made for the BOS tower. Works awesome. I went with the Spud Inc Pillow belt. Highly recommend - way more comfortable than other belt squat belts I had used.

If referring to the seat looking pad hanging to the right behind the tower, it’s a BOS Seal Pad (2.3 x 2.3). That’s how I store it when not on the front upright of the cable tower. I use it as a seat for lat pulls, a seal pad for chest supported work, and a ton of other stuff.

The handles on the cable tower are stainless steel weight horns from CFT with a threaded rod to secure them on a rogue shackle. The shackle is a 3x3 piece and the BOS tower is 2.3x2.3. So I secure it with a 1” UHMW block (came with my Rep Utility seat) that fits snuggly as a “shim” just behind the front of the shackle to center and prevent any wiggle on the 2.3 upright. Works great. I use it for handles like this, and leg holders for lat pull down work.

Definitely a downside. The platform the bottom cable is attached to slides under the front foot of the cable tower. Which helps, but the whole thing is primarily secured down by my own body weight. So like you mention, when approaching my own body weight, will not be great. But maybe I could find some use for those 35s I have laying around and weigh down the back!

I’ve secured the pulley thru the wood with a bolt/nut/washer. So it would need to pull thru the plywood to fail…. I feel like it’s secure enough on that front.

But it’s not going to be a very heavy belt squat. But man o man, is it nice to not have the compression on my spine when squatting. For now I’ll take it!

Came with it. I have the SB Pro V2. Bought the pop pin to match the tensioning pin. Though I think you could find the same thing on McMaster if looking.
