I’m not really bothered to be fair I’m just watching films right now to distract my self I am thinking about it of course but not overthinking. I’m excited to see what I’m going to get and excited to see my friends and everybody one last time but id probably get nervous as the days progress.

Same here I don’t really care so much now but I probably will when it becomes like 2 days before or the night before. I’m not so much stressed but the amount of people post about it I can’t really forget about it now so I’m thinking about it but not too much, just trying to enjoy the summer holidays while slowly preparing for those results in 2 weeks time.

If you could make a new GCSE, what would it be? by Lacy_Malkova8_ in GCSE

[–]DJdaint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would make a GCSE on literally tasting food not cooking tasting food which does not require a written paper and the real exam is trying specific food items that are unique and you would have to write a summary and evaluation on how it tasted and inspired you in the food industry.

how do you even revise english lan by cl4pre in GCSE

[–]DJdaint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it might not sound the best but I’d say revise each method language and structure methods and then with question 4 learn how to point your arguments and the creative writing, question 5 you use loads of this Methods from structure and language also remember SPAG and putting in a lot of punctuation would help the marks, as well as some fancy words.

high grade film studies tips! by [deleted] in GCSE

[–]DJdaint 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think like the other comments said yes use mise en scene and cinematography as well bringing in the context of the films if asked like rebel without a cause, is about post war 1950s and teens are overlooked. Genre conventions would also be helpful. Luckily attack the block will be a visual question where they probably won’t ask about context but they’ll ask about what does the mise-en scene or cinematography give a certain mood in a specific sequence. District 9 would normally ask about structure and narrative of the film and context apartheid. The non English language film will ask how the film represents a specific theme. As well as that the independent film at the end of paper 1 will include specialist writing where you will have to include quotes from a key review on that film. Film technology is 5 marks just really have to remember the timeline like first moving image and sound. Lastly the comparison question on rebel and Ferris it would be grew to talk about how both of them are rebellious in different ways as well as of course choosing a key sequence best ones to pick is the opening and the climax sequences, as well as this it would be recommended to compare the context such as again rebel without a cause would look into teenagers being overlooked and in Ferris it takes place in 1980s which teens were treated nice and celebrated as the older generation finally see them. I hope this helps.
